i'm looking to change pills - going to the doc on monday - and saw an ad for this one - its low dose which i'm already on (ortho tri low) and says you can get a three day period (SWEET) wondering if anyone here has tried it yet? any comments on it?

Loestrin 24

im one of loestrin 20 if thats the same thing. i liked it because it doesnt have a big hormone dose compared to others, because i get paranoid about things like that. ive had no problems with it and i dont get much of a period either - although i guess these things are different for different women. either way i have no problems with it

good to know - it seems like as i get older - my period gets longer - which annoys me

Well, if it helps: I'm terrible about remembering to take the pill. I used to take Ortho-Tricyclin (low dosage). Now I'm taking Loestrin 24, and I don't like it because I have had episodes of depression. It's been a crazy summer, but I talked to my sister about it, and she agrees that this "isn't like me", so I have some additional input from someone who knows me. So, I'm going to switch. But maybe it works if you are diligent about taking it. Other message boards such as "ask a patient" are good places to research, too.

i'm really glad i switched to it - i know it supposed to make your period last average of three days - but with my body - i dont have one (talked to the doc she said i'm fine) which is great - no pms for me!!
