Hi all,I was starting to get an intimate relationship with a girl that I really like, and a couple of days ago, we attempted to have intercourse (I'm a virgin). However, as I started to enter her vagina, my foreskin started peeling back and it really hurt, so I pulled out. It got as far as my glans, which was the first time in my life that I have ever seen it. I quickly readjusted my foreskin forward as it really hurt, and tried again, but each time my foreskin peeled back naturally, and I couldn't take the pain.Apparently my parents were supposed to have shown me to peel it back, but I had lived a very sheltered life, so this was the first time I had it pulled back past the head!! I have been googling stretching techniques for it, but I can't even get it the glans exposed again - the best I can pull is just so the very tip is exposed. How can I get over it so at least the glans is exposed again, and will be less sensitive? I'm also now worried about possible infections, but I haven't had any trouble with it yet. Is the best way to stretch it is to continually pull on it daily backwards in the shower? Would this be optimal to do erect or flaccid? (I can't get the foreskin to retract in either scenario!)Also, I have never used any lubricant or oils to masturbate - and they seem to be recommended to be used before trying to stretch my foreskin - where can I get these? Thanks for your help!

20 Years Old - Never pulled foreskin back before!

Try it under the shower without erection!Use warm water and wait until the skin has relaxed a bit. Then slowly try to roll it back. See if you can for example get 2 fingers under the foreskin. If you can get your 2 indexfingers under it then you can carefully stretch it. But take it slow. I also did it this way and it worked for me. If you're able to pull it behind the glans in a non-erect state then this would already be good because then you could at least clean the glans under the shower. But be careful even if you can pull it back in a non-erect state doesn't mean that you can do it in an erect state, too. It could happen that it gets caught behind the glans and that you cannot roll it back anymore. So first try to work yourself up to being able to roll it back in a limp state and when you've achieved this then keep stretching and see what happens when you become slightly more erect. If you feel like it's getting too tight you should directly stop and try to pull the foreskin back over the glans.I'd try the stretching for a few weeks but if you don't make any progress you should see a urologist.

I tried it under the shower earlier, and there's no way I can even think of imagining to put 2 fingers underneath the foreskin...that means like putting my fingers between the foreskin and the glans right? I can't even get it to go past the glans when I'm non-erect, so I'm a while away from making any progress on it. Would the best stretch for now be just be pulling back on it as much as possible? It doesn't go very far back with erect/not-erect in either case :(.

Welcome to A2A, DanielTheManiel. For description of stretching exercises, see here. The important thing is you should take it slowly, never force it, and expect it to take some months. If you force it you will tear the skin, and the scar tissue that then forms makes things worse. So take it very easy.

Hey Guys,
Just to check back in - I have been doing some stretching and have managed to make progress on my foreskin - I can now get it about 1/3 of the way down the glans while flaccid, however only the top part.
However, I'm a bit concerned - since this has happened, I've noticed I actually have another hole at the top of my penis when i pull the foreskin back.. and when I pee, two streams comes out of my penis: one stream from the top one, and one from the regular urethra - and they join together if there is a lot of pee. Also, that top hole is a bit red, like it's inflamed, but it does not hurt when I pee. I also think I ejaculate from that hole as well.
Since the last post, I have only had sex with a condom - do you think the redness could be to frequent masturbation/sex?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi Daniel, the redness may just be due to irritation from urine. The glans can be red quite normally anyway, as the skin there is just a thin membrane, just like on the lips.Looking at your picture, it looks like you might have a large meatus (pee-hole) that has an adhesion closing it in the middle, breaking it into two holes. That's not uncommon. No treatment is usually needed, but the adhesion can be broken by minor surgery if desired. You would of course need to see a urologist about that.

I managed to pull back my foreskin over the head for the first today! However, it got stuck and really hurt, but I remembered I was supposed to squeeze the tip to shrink it..and eventually I got my foreskin back over it. However, I did noticed some white stuff at the bottom of my head - I'm guessing its smegma? (or a possible yeast infection - my sexual partner thought she might have had a yeast infection about 1 month ago). What's the best way to proceed in terms of stretching and in terms of getting rid of the smegma? Thanks again!

Just keep up with the stretching. You can wash the smegma off with water. It might be difficult to get off initially, and some rubbing might be needed, however you may be too sensitive to tolerate that at this time.
-
Okay, should I pull the foreskin all the way down past the head again in order to wash it off? It does hurt as it feels constricted, and it was quite difficult to roll back on. Or is it better to keep stretching the foreskin on the biggest part of my glans/head (keep the foreskin at that level, and not let it roll back), and maybe after a week, roll it back in order to clean it up to make it roll forward easier (after more stretching)And yeah, the head is definitely too sensitive right now
-
Well the only way to clean it is to retract enough to expose the smegma, but I wouldn't concentrate on this. I would concentrate on stretching and get to the cleaning part when it is more comfortable.
-
Okay thank you very much!I pulled back past the head again yesterday, and tried to clean the smegma, but I couldn't make any progress as I could barely touch it. It again took like 5-10 minutes to try to roll the foreskin back on the head.Attached is a picture that I took of it - is that smegma, and does the foreskin usually roll back all clumped like that? It was quite the challenge to sort it out.

Thanks again!

Yes that is smegma. The only way to clean it is to rub it off.. You'll need to do it eventually. The amount of clumping is quite variable. It all depends on the persons erection length, size of foreskin, lenght of frenulum, etc... In your case it is exaggerated because to have a tight foreskin and have only recently started retracting.
-
Awesome, I think I managed to clean it off last night under my shower with my hand (it hurt!), and I haven't noticed any smelling or residue, so that is a good sign.
The foreskin is supposed to glide down to bottom of the shaft though right? What are the best ways to stretch it in this case - when's its behind my head, I cant tell which edge of the foreskin to place my index finger behind to stretch.
Also, is it possible for smegma to develop on the shaft (aka, could there be smegma on my shaft?), or is it more common only on the glans.
Thanks again!

Sorry I had to laugh....I can remember when I was a young kid, maybe 10-12 years old. I started retracting on my own due to curiosity. I was wondering what the heck is that in there under the foreskin? I remember, I had this fear that that thing inside (the glans) would somehow pop out (and fall out)... What does a kid know about anatomy right? The foreskin attaches to the shaft just behind the head, so the answer to your question about smegma on the shaft is technically NO, unless you want to count that short section behind the glans. You can collect smegma at/on any portion under the foreskin. The foreskin really can't go "all the way" down the shaft. It's generally constricted by the frenulum which is the flesh that attaches the foreskin to the bottom of the head. The distance that the foreskin can be retracted is generally dictated by the positioning of the frenulum on the head (high/low), length of the frenulum and elasticity of the frenulum.
-
Haha, I guess I was definitely mislead about the retractability of a foreskin! Anyways I managed to clean all the smegma off, and can now mostly get the the foreskin close to the head while erect, sometimes all the way behind it, but it still feels really tight and hurts then.So my stretching seems to be working, and I'm almost there! However, I just wanted to comment that the bottom of my penis (like the bottom side of my glans) was quite grey - in comparison the rest of my fairly red penis. Is that due to lack of exposure to air in 20 years, and is that normal? Thanks again!
-
If the frenulum were cut, retracting further down would be much easier. However, I'm sure you're on a good track and retraction should not be a problem with time. I wouldn't worry about the color. Some of it may be due to the actually stretching itself. You put tension on a surface of skin (glans) and it pushes some of the blood away produceing a greyish color. My theory...
-
I've continued with my stretching, and can pretty much get it behind my head while erect now. However, from time to time, I notice that the bottom of my head is quite blue or blue-grey. But when I'm erect, it is usually red all around. Do you think this is still due to the stretching?
-
Red means fresh blood. Blue means old blood, or lack of circulation. Because things are still tight, the circulation can be reduced. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi People,I swear this must becoming a more and more common problem in young adults.I am 24 and have only just started being able to pull my foreskin down past the head in the last few days, a close friend says he suffers the same problem. One thing I have to say is, it's really comforting to know your not alone and that it is possible with work to resolve the issue. The interesting thing is, I have had sex with around 80-100 girls since loosing my virginity after my 19th birthday, I am a bit of a slut :P - but, always have sex with a condom and I'm very touchy / sensitive when getting a handjob and generally have to specifically tell them not to pull back... sad I know.Anyway, I once had a girl (about 3 years ago), pull back hard on my cock when giving a handjob, which pulled the skin over the head, I freaked and quickly pulled it back nearly crying.Since then, it's been hard to want to even work with the matter...About 3 weeks ago, I decided to have unprotected sex with a girl I am really into, ofcourse over time I can pull the foreskin about a third to halfway down the head, but, unprotected sex was still uncomfortable, needed alot of lube. So, over the past few weeks I have been practising my stretching more and more, to the point in the last few days I have pulled back behind the head and managed to masturbate till finish with it in this fashion and alot of lube! However, my thing now is sensitivity, it's still very tight and my head is really untouchable, it's so sensitive, anything more then a feather touch is a turnoff, due to pain...Is this normal and will it pass?I guess the thing here is to keep on practising...I really hope I can one day enjoy unprotected sex without having to worry about this crap!

Welcome to A2A, STOYA! Yes, the sensitivity will decrease with time.
