I just looked at their menu. Pricey, but looks good. (LOL we're not loaded w/money) Probably a bit much for our picky kids. We ate a Whiskey Creek once. Very good but tough to find something the kids will eat.

Have you eaten at Angels? It is probably the best barbecue food in Mammoth.

What lift?
-
The ski-in ski-outs are on chair 15 (Eagle Express).Have you looked at the weather report Helms? Is that SUV a 4x4?
-
That's what I though. Have you ever went down hilling on the mountain?
-
?? What do you mean?
-
Down hill mountain biking
-
Oh no.. Not yet. Have taken our bikes up the lakes though. Kids are bigger now, so we'll try it one summer. I actually like Mammoth better in teh summer. More to do. Have you gone swimming in the Hot Springs? That's a fun experience. Freezing water mixing with the boiling water comming out of the ground. Challenge to find a good spot sometimes. I was thinking about going there last week but the weather was too bad.

So this friend of yours "owns" one of those houses?
-
Yeah, pretty much know the area. We bought our condo up there 6 yrs ago when everything was really cheap. Our place has gone up about 6x in value. I was looking at the real estate up there and there's an empty lot that borders the ski run at chair 15. You can buy it for a measly 1 million+. Hey anyone want to pitch in for a down payment???

I really enjoy mammoth in the summer as well. I have been to mammoth every summer for the last 11years. And every winter for the last 4. Yeah, I have been to the hot springs. I was ok. I was either freezing or burning hot. ANdwatching these kids throw those little minnows into the boiling hot ater was annoying. BTW what's Juniper Springs? My Dad said he is looking to buy a place there for vacation.
-
It's part of the lodge/condo complexes built by Intrawest. It's right at the base of chair 15. http://mammothmountain.com/plan/lodging/jsl/

I'm sorry I ment Juniper Ridge, I stay a Juniper Spring the last time I was there. What is it?
-
I think Juniper Ridge is that whole area where Junipers Springs is located. I can't remember the names of the developments. There are ski-in/ski-out townhouses being built back there when I drove by last week.

I live in Santa Cruz, California but I don't get snow. It's very annoying. Last year or the year before I think. They had some christmas celebration ting and they had all these flyers around saying "We are bring snow to Santa Cruz!!" and everyone freaked out but it turned out to be a little like 5 foot by 5 foot pen of like half melted ice and there were people lined up around the block with like snowboards and sleds and things really funny to see.

I heard 30" of powder dropped on friday. Too bad i was in Palm Springs!

From what I've seen,... looks like Helms got snowed in big time.
