I have had this for a very very long time now (couple of years) but I have no idea what it is. I have mentioned it to my parents before, but they don't take it seriously.Sometimes, mostly when I'm on the computer, my eye vision goes very wide and everything I see is 1/2 smaller, it is very weird. But I can still see every letter 100% clearly.I often want to get rid of this right away, but as soon as it's gone (sometimes it lasts about 10 sec., now it is going on for a couple of minutes) I miss it, 'cause it feels good in a way. (no, I don't take drugs/smoke, I'm only 13)And one time, when I was about 10-11 or something, in class (during a test) I got the same thing but then every sound was like multiply'd by 500000, it was horrible. And the teacher was asking what was wrong, but it was so loud for me that I couldn't answer, and he thought I was faking it just to not make the test. (I also wasn't extremely nervous, just as nervous as you get on a test, not even sweating or something [and I tend to sweat easily, thats geneticly])PS: No, I don't have any other weird things going on, only this one, but I find it so weird.

What The Goat Is This???!!! (please read and help)

That's got to be a brain thing, but I haven't heard of it before.
-
Hmmm I see... Do think that I should be worrying about this?

If it's a rare thing only, probably not. If it happens often, especially if it's increasingly often, it might be a good idea to bring it up with a doctor. It could possibly be an epileptic mini-seizure.

actually, i experience the very same thing. it used to happen loads more when i was younger, however, it only happened while i was sleeping, it would wake me up and i would freak out and be terrified to go back to sleep. the intense silence scared the shit out of me. as did the eyesight thingy. now that i am older, it happens very rarely, but when i wake up in the middle of the night expereincing that, i get up and go do some push ups, somehow, I think getting my blood flowing helps, because once my heart rate has increased, it tends to subside where i can fall back asleep. not sure if that is much help at all, but what you are describing sounds exactly like what i have experienced

In reply to:
There is also the *possibility* of there being excessive pressure on the Optic Nerve (from a tumor?).
WOW! When I saw this a few days ago, right before going to bed, I freaked out! Please tell me that it's just a wild stab in the dark
