If u home schooled ( or knew someone that did) and then left that to college were u scared? or exited?like i have been in school but was taking out and now home school for so reasons and i don't really know how i'm going to take college when that day comes. ( bout a year away...i guess. i suck at math) but it scares me to think about it and wut if i don't know wut i want to do by then...or smart enough.... u know.. i don't know. i'm just typing..... nvm. but again, If u home schooled (or knew someone that did) and then went off 2 college were u scared? or exited?

One of my best friends was home schooled and he's in his first year of college and hes doing alright. I imagine he was nervous at first, but I guess his mom was a good enough teacher cuz hes doing pretty well. He was never really 'sheltered' though as many homeschoolers are thought of to be. He had a lot of friends from homeschool groups and from his surrounding neighborhood. My brother also was homeschooled for a while. He has a sever social phobia and had extreme panic attacks in public school from all the people around. He had to be pulled out, but he's 21 now and making his way through college. From what I've seen, homeschoolers tend to do alright, granted that they put some effort into it and don't give up.

i don't like schools.. i was pulled out of school cuz of a panic attack and other reasons but i think it was that that was the main reason...but laces talked me into going to this stupid game at her school ( my old one b4 i got took out) and i obnly whent cuz my brother agreed to go wiht. i didn;t make it threw the game though we left early and i was purdy jummpy.

Same with my brother. He used to see a psychiatrist, but hardly ever needs to meet with him any more. He takes pills to help him stay calmed and balance his 'chemicals,' and they seem to be working wonders. He's managed to get through two whole years of college now without a panic attack. He's even got it all pretty bad...hes never really had any friends because he's been afraid to talk to people...

College is a lot better than high school. The work can be tough, but there is a lot more room for individuality, and just tobe yourself. People are more mature, and more prepared to take you as you are.

Yup! It's great!

Hey, i'm the guy that F22fighter was talking about. I started going to a junior college when i was in 10th grade. i just took some computer and autocad classes. I'm still at the same junior college today and i'm takling 20 hours so i can graduate this summer and go to college with my girlfriend. I'm still a little nervous about going to a bigger college but not to much. I'm not very good at math either, i'm taking intermediat algebra right now because my ATC math score wasn't high enought to start in with College level. (Nor do i know enough) It was kind of intemidating at first but theres almost always at least one person in the class that would be able to help you if you needed it. Do you know what college you want to go to yet?
