The body is not totally symmetrical in size..One of your hands is slightly larger than the other. This applies to many other places on the body. Feet, toe length, etc.

One is the mommy & the other is the baby....

That could be true, but for me it seems my right side is slightly larger...

I was feeling insecure about myself too because my left breast is larger than my right, I told my mom but she said it was weird never heard of anything like it, then I looked it up online and well its very very common. every 4 out of 5 girls have it. But now when I wear my bras IMO its less noticebale than it once was but with out the bra you can tell. At first I thought no guy would ever like that at all, but on the contrary my boyfriend loves it and finds it cute, which is strange to me but whatever hehe He likes it so I cant be too bad if everyone has it.

The breasts can be different sizes during puberty, but they will even out in time. Also, as far as i know, most women's left breast is larger than the right, probably because the heart is on the left...but i'm not sure about that.
-
most women's left breast is larger than the rightI think it's random...not sure what the deep-inside heart would have to do with the growth of milk glands and fat deposits.
-
Lol, makes me feel better about my slightly larger left breast. I just noticed that all my friends have the same difference.

**Most women have one breast that larger than the other............some are more noticable than others. **
-
yes, we have established that, but is it the left breast that's most commonly the bigger one?

In reply to:. . .A congenital cause of breast asymmetry is Poland's Syndrome. This entity consists of underdevelopment of one breast and its underlying musculature along with anomalies of the ipsilateral (same side) hand.. . .Infection, trauma or surgery near the developing breast in a child may result in underdevelopment of that breast. On the plastic surgery Web sites photos I looked at (strictly for the advancement of scientific knowledge), it appeared that there were more larger right breasts than left breasts. Unfortunately, that data is scientifically meaningless. I'm guessing it's 50/50.

As has already been stated the body is asymetrical. However, I think you will probably find, like arm muscles, hand strength, etc. That the difference in breast size relates somewhat to what hand is your dominant hand. The reason being this will make the muscles in your chest larger on that side. Also, in that vein, I would also suggest that chest exercises, done with dumbells (so you can work each side independant and thus more on the smaller side) will at least contribute to making them more equal.
