I have been thinking about getting my nipples pierced for a few years now and I really want to do it. The thing is, my nipples are pretty flat and only stick out a little bit when its cold or they are being rubbed. Would it be possible to get them pierced? If I did, would they stay hard and stick out all the time? My boyfriend has used clothespins as nipple clamps and it usually took him a while before they would stay on, because my nipples are so flat I loved the sensation and that's why I'd love to have pierced nipples but I'm not sure it would work?

Nipple piercing question
-
I would go and show your nips to a piercer and ask what they think but it is a pretty thick needle they pierce it with. A bloke mate of mine had his done and had little nipples and they went too far back into the nipple and through the cartlidge and it was so painful he had to take it out. Then again this could have been a bad piercer person so the best thing is to go get it checked out I think. I don't think I have overly large ones but they pierced mine without a problem but I went to a different person to do it! xx

Jessica is right. You want to go to a piercer who is very knowledgeable. Ask them about it first. I got mine done, and the pain is a phenomenal feeling at the time of piercing, but the sexual enjoyment is different for different people. I'm only about 6 months into the healing process, so I haven't really been able to use them much sexually. It will take some time before you can, as well.

Thanks ThatScorpio nice to know i can be right about some things ha ha. Having a bow now with smile on my face ha ha. It does take a while for them to heal and everyone had different healing rates. Mine were done a couple of years ago but my husband still couldn't swing off them as it would hurt ha ha a gentle tug is all mine will take lol xx. Smile has gone at the memory of the pain but I do have a very low pain threshold!!

yeh well i went with my mate to get her nipple pierced, she was concerned bcos she thought her nipple would be too small but the priecer said it was fine, and she got it done last year and its fine now so.....does piercing you nipple lose the sensation though, i dont knw im just curious?
-
No not at all mine is extra sensitive now. Fab!!!
-
Mine are soooo sensitive already, hmm might just get it done to see if they get EVEN MORE ............
-
They do get even more sensitive Angel. The piercing kind of keeps your nipple erect and when you wear something like a soft cotton shirt, they rub against it and it feels wonderful!
-
OMG that does it i HAVE to have my nipple pierced now..........in fact not A nipple BOTH nipples...........then again I get wet so easily i guess it could prove embarrassing if im constantly even more turned on kiss
-
You won't regret getting it done hun after its healed. I was thinking about getting my other one done this year too. If you get wet easily you will be leaving a trail all around the UK heehee after you have it done!! xxxx

Isn't there some risk of going through a nerve and damaging sensation? Isn't there also a risk of the jewelry getting caught on your clothing, causing the piercing to be yanked out?
-
Never heard of getting nerve damage. And I suppose your jewelry could get caught, but depending on the design, there are either one or two big balls that keep it from puliing out. You can pull on mine, but they don't go anywhere.
-
I have 2 balls on mine as well  I do have to watch the kind of bra I wear as a lacy one can sometimes let a ball sneak through  . I have never really had a problem with mine being caught although I don't mind the occasional tug on mine hee
-
I also have two balls on mine...wait a minute, what were we talking about?
I would assume that nerves run through the nipple, including the part that gets pierced, so there might be some risk of hitting a nerve when the piercing is done.
-
You know, I really don't know if there are nerves in the nipple. But the piercer IS a professional. The place I went to does strictly body piercing. They have thier certificates on the wall etc. Anyway, your nipple is hard when they do it. So, I suppose it would be easier to tell where the nerves may be. I have my tongue pierced too and I know there is a vein in there that they have to watch out for. That's why it kind of goes at an angle. Also, women have a thicker gauge (sp?) because their nipples are bigger than a man. So if there are nerves, why wouldn't they put a smaller jewelry in the nipple? I don't know. I was told by the piercer I have great anatomy for nipple piercing.
-
There are nerves every where. Can you feel your nipple??? Yes? Nerves. And you can't physically avoid the nerves in teh nipple.
-
If you can't avoid them, what happens when they hit the nerve?
-
I think the question isn't so much if they are going to "hit" a nerve but are they going to sever a nerve, and how major of a nerve will they damage? If they damaged one close to the skin and only killed sensation in .09mm of nipple then it'd be no biggy, but if they hit further down and killed sensation to a larger area of the nipple it probably wouldn't be so fun. You know they do make "clip-on" type nipple rings...

before I had mine pierced the piercer looked at the size of my nipples to see which size bar would be suitable. One friend had his done and they went too far back in the cartlidge of the nipple which caused him that much pain he passed out. I went to a different piercer and I can honestly say I have not lost any sensation in it at all.Steve A--as for the balls they are at the end of the bar. They screw on to keep it in place if that makes sense??!!

do you think guys find nipple piercings sexy or not tho? bcos im not sure, some find it a real turn off wheras others just find it kinkywhen my friend got her nipple pierced the piercer cut the bar or whatever ist called to size and she had no problem.
