Hi, I have a question which is that for about 4 months or so I have been experiencing pain during bowel movements. This pain is not in one spot as with a simple anal fissure generally it seems to be painful in several places at once, as if say for example the opening of the anus were smaller than it should be and it has to push through (the only way I can think to describe it).
There is also occasionally blood from this pain, though I am almost certain that the blood is coming from the skin of the anus itself (and not from further up) as when I press toilet paper against the inside of the anus there is pain and some blood on the paper - so I am almost entirely sure that this blood is coming from the area just inside the anus (there also seems to be a cut in this area sometimes also).
I have visited my doctor and he examined the area and said that there were no anal fissures and no hemorrhoids, though I hadn't seemed to aggravate it for several weeks before then and there definitely does seem to be an anal fissure present now. I have myself booked in for an appointment next week but I thought I would ask for some advice here in the mean time, so here are my questions.
1. - What would cause this? I am almost positive this is not simply an anal fissure that I have acquired from a hard bowel movement nor a hemorrhoid as it is in several different places and pain in one area seems to go away to be replaced by pain in another area - there must therefore be some cause for these fissures other than simple constipation/hard bowel movements.
2. Could an infection cause this? I ask because I have also very occasionally (maybe twice in the last 4 months) noticed that whilst urinating at the end of urination the urine becomes cloudy and painful. Afterwards I feel like I still need to urinate and have a burning sensation - this may be entirely unrelated, but it could be explained by an infection spreading to the penis maybe?
