We really need a section devoted to the mind. But anyway, I am curious to know, is it strange that I live life without every really hoping for anything? Let me explain. When people go through life, they set goals and try to achieve them. And when they are working they think of those goals and it helps them concentrate. Well I never do that, I just kind of do it, and the same goes for every other aspect in life. It is not a can-do attitude b/c I do not care, but I never look for good or bad or anything of that sort. I mean if anyone understands what i mean. I am just wondering b/c I just kind of do not do it and suffer the consequences w/o a flinch or I do, and I do not care about the reward.

OKay

Are you basically asking what's the point of life? Where is the need/drive to go on?
-
No, but I have never had a drive to go on, but I do...I am like a worker ant, never really caring that much, just kind of doing.
-
That sounds very much like me. It was suggested to me once that the reason I have no strong hopes is that when I was young I learnt from my experience that there wasn't much point wanting something, because you wouldn't get it.Mind you, I think the idea you get from self-help books that everyone has goals that they work towards isn't true. It works for some people, and it doesn't for others. Some people find that going with the flow works best for them.

me as well really do not have much of a goal in life i just live from day to day and see how things play out and i like it that way and i think there is nothing wrong with that
-
well I think long term about everything, but when i go to do it, I never think of it.

I know exactly what you mean, i have never had goals, just happily lived month by month, taking opportunities that came my way and going with them and seeing what happened, but never to a plan or goal.............Hey im 34 and i still don't know what i wanna be or do with my life
