I read this entire book in a maximum of 2 1/2 days and it contains 433 pages. A small-sized book but with print tinier than that of the Bible. No I'm not boasting... I delayed to the last minute when my teacher goes "book report due tomorrow!", thank God for snow days. Anyway, yeah I read the book and it was sooooooo good (heavy emphasis on "good") I actually cried at most parts of the book and even threw the book at the wall at parts that made me angry and disappointed. I think I got into the book too much. But the movie came on today on hbo and I was excited to see it. But I was really unhappy with the ending. Don't get me wrong the beginning and ending of the movie was fantastic. But it's like they crammed the last ten chapters of the book into 20 minutes of confusion. What's up with that? I don't really like when movies take a good book and even though they try to do it justice it's just not as good and then can be a little disappointing. Like that movie by Frank Perretti called Hangman's Curse. That book had me up all night trying to calm myself down from suspense and the book was of course amazing. And then the movie comes on and I'm all excited. (There's nothing like reading a thriller christian book and then seeing the movie.) Next thing I knew, I was throwing pillows at the tv. Not only did it chop the story line into tiny pieces but the acting was so incredibly horrible I would have committed suicide. Three year olds could have done a better job than this horrendous piece of disappointment. But I still loved the book and Jane Eyre shall go down in the history of my life as being one of the best books I've read. It had sort of an effect on me because the many times she said "very well sir" I began ending my responses to male figures with "sir". The weird looks I've received... But yeah anyway, I want to visit England and France now lol. I'm still disappointed with the movie. I think I should just stay away from movies that are based off of books I've read. It can be unsatisfying at times. Any body else notice this?

Jane Eyre!

I don't think I've ever seen a movie that did justice to a good book. To Kill a Mockingbird for instance, was a very good film, but it couldn't even come close to the book.
The movied Bridges of Madison County was watchable, but the book was a piece of crap! How did that thing ever get published?
-
Yeah I know. The Lord of the Rings series and Harry Potter series were good though. That's all I can think about though.

Oh, I love Jane Eyre too! I also like Wuthering Heights, Pride and Predjudice, and Gone With the Wind. But they are classics, so I suppose a lot of people like them... Doesn't exactly make me an original, does it?

Cold Mountain was a very good representation of the book. Both of them I thought were really good. The only little glitch was it took some time for the story to really get going in the book version. But that could be attributed to the pace I had to read it.

omg Cold Mountain! Nicole Kidman! I loved the movie, and the book. The movie was long but I loved every minute of it. Nicole kidman has hit my list of best actress ever.

Jude Law was awesome in it. Definatly(sp??) one of my favorite actors now. Renee Zellwegger rocked too.

Doesn't exactly make me an original, does it?No, but it means that you have good taste.
