Wasnt sure where else to put this and I think its important as many people as possible get info on this anyway. Ritey on occasional I look at porn on the web and I'm sure I'm not alone there. Throughout the course of my web-porno life (since I was about 12 or 13) I have at times stumbled upon peadophilia. Its not exactly to my tastes so I have always clicked off immediately and have sometimes found I couldnt continue with my mastabation on account of a feeling of queezyness. What I wont to know is what is the best response to finding thing this stuff? I mean is there anywhere to report it to? The exploitation isnt going to go away from just clicking off it and trying to put it out of your mind so you can enjoy a pleasant wank. Theres gotta be somewhere to report these sites too surely? I must have seen about 10 or so pedo sites in the past 5 or so years and I want them taken off the web! I know the webs hard to control and all but theres gotta be something we (the porno viewers) can do to help make harder the lives of these filth peddlers.Thoughts?

Important Question regardin peadophilia on the web

Interesting post, and I appreciate your concern. That's a good question. Who do you report it to? And can you do so anonymously? But I do have one question for you. I've never encountered kiddy porn before. How are you getting it? Are you sure your not being a bit careless in your search? Are you searching for something "close" to kiddy porn? I'm not making accusations or anything. Just wondering. Maybe it happens to everyone and I've just gotten lucky.

I can't say that I've stubled accross it while surfing. I did download something that was misrepresented through some file sharing though (That was fun to explain to Mrs X)In Canada we have an annonomous crime tips program. You might have something simmilar.

I only got on a child porn site once on accident when I was alot younger. I have never stumbeled accross one since (luckly), its pretty fucked up that kids would have to be subjected to that kinda shit.

Generally the first thing you would need to do is find out the ISP who is carrying the material. Usually this is indicated by the early part of the URL, through doing a whois lookup. For example, in the case of a page on this site, you would look up "afraidtoask.com". (If there is a country code you also include that.) You can do a whois lookup in a number of ways; one way is through www.geektools.com.The whois lookup will give you the nationality of the hosting ISP. If it is in the US, it can be reported to the FBI; otherwise, it would have to be reported to appropriate law enforcement, which may take some trouble to find. The most effective thing is often to report it to the ISP itself, which is often unaware of what is being hosted on its site, and is in the best position to take it down immediately. The ISP's whois data will include an email address for reporting abuse; indeed, a whois should theoretically not be necessary, as sending an email to "abuse@[the relevant domain name]" should work.

Anyone who gets into a situation like that needs to contact a moderator immediately. There was one guy on here a while ago, and he had a yahoo.com e-mail address in his profile. I tried every way I could think of to contact Yahoo (with his e-mail address and a link to his post here), but I did not succeed. At the end of it all, I got a useless form letter e-mail in response.Could someone list the abuse addresses for Yahoo, Hotmail, and GMail? abuse@yahoo.com didn't get me very far.

I found a place where you can report it, but you need the exact page where on the page the offense is.

Here's another one (all the reporting stuff is below the red box):

Dejavu man. The same thing happened to me but it wasn't on here. It was just a bit different. My friend had invited me to some webiste or whatever where they have the same forum thingy like this. And one of people she introduced me to she was a friend from her school that I had known already. It was her ID name but it wasn't the same person. I think that someone had gotten her name and password I don't know how but that person was a really creepy, nasty person after I had gotten to know them thinking they were someone they weren't. Until they started sending these disgusting graphical pictures and asking if I would "consider it". That's so wrong. I had along talk with my friend after that.
