Hello, I am 16 years old, 5'6/7 and 170 lbs. I was 190 lbs just one year ago and 5'5. I am pretty much fed up with the extra weight so I was jsut wondering whats the easiest way to lose weight quickly. I am planning to go on a "diet". Basically what i am planning to do starting tomorow is every morning after waking up, to like jog or do cardio exercises for 30 mins then eating breakfast then maybe another 30 mins of exercises after lunch and then eating dinner. I am just curious what are good choices for meals that I can consume for breakfast and lunch. I am aware that the key is consume a certain amount of calories and then burn of the same amount of calories with exercises but what foods are good for this type of diet? And how do you know how much calories you are burning and consuming? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanceVikram

i''m 17 and a few months ago i was 170 like you, i'm 5'5 so i was pretty much about you, now i'm like 145-150 and i went from a size 11-12 to 8 or 9 dependin on the pants, i went from most of my shirts being xL or L to M or sometime even S.. iv lost alot of weight, and everyone see it but i feel i need to lose more to.. what i do is i eat more meals but less food, i eat every 3-5 hours to keep me not very hungry, but i eat like apples, or drink alot of water, i love yogort and stuff so i eat that in between meeal, i've been goign swimming with alo of friends and working out at the gym, i also walk 45 mins home from school everyday rain or shine, snow storm or not.. but what you have to do is eat healty food, and don't weight yourself everyday becuase your weight tends to shift alot, take a picture of youself and weight yourself, then eat smaller meals but more often, get some walking or jsut cardio time in there for about 30 mins a day, hit the gym if you can liek 2 times a week, and little things like cut down on pop and junk helps to.. i knwo its hard cause you go to school and its there but bring an apple insed, you would be sprise when your kinda hungry an apple will do.. so thats what i did maybe that will help you (:

Cool advice. Dunno what it is about it, but you make it sound do-able rather than an extreme ass busting routine.
