Possible explanation for not gaining wieght

so if i swallow big chuncks of food it has nothing to do with how much i gain?
-
Really? i heard if you eat to fast you dont get as full or something like that.

really? so your saying if I want to gain weight I shouldn't chew that much? What's the bad side effect of this though?

You'll get food that sits around in your gut that takes longer to digest if you don't chew it. Also, not chewing properly along with lack of fiber has been shown to cause collections of partially digested meat in the intestine. This is particularily true with things like steak. If you're eating faster you will be able to eat more before your body tells you that you're full, but you still have the same limit as to how much you can eat. Even if you feel kind of full you can keep eating if you want to. If you do eat TOO much then you will throw up. The stomach's maximum capacity is approximately 1.5 L on average, although it varies depending upon the person. Things like water will pass through quickly so you could actually drink about 2L of water (assuming you didn't just eat) and not throw up.

Don't be ridiculous. If you want to put on weight eat more, more oftenm and perhaps lift some weights.
Eating fast, and not chewing is just silly. I don't deny that it would help you put on weight, but I doubt it would be anywhere near as effective as the advice above.
