hi, I saw a lad of a similar age doing this exercise in the gym and he recomended it but I was wondering if anyone could give any information on it. Here is a very bad diagram of it http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?iwagh68nybo (slide replay speed to fast)you lie on the bench with two relatively light weight above you head dangling downwards, then continually raise the weights to above the head and back again. I couldnt find it on that exercise website, how should it be done, what precautions, and what exactly does it work?any response very very much appreciated, thanks

Help with THIS exercise

oh when the weights face the ground the elbows are bent to about 90 degrees with the triceps facing upwards, when the weights are above the arms are almost striaght

It looks like dumbbell pullovers. It mostly works the chest muscles. Here's a link to what I found (you might have to scroll down to it): Dumbbell Pullovers

I do that exercise all the time. You are working the triceps not the chest. Basically make sure you only go as far as 90 degress so you dont hurt anything. Just like any exercise start off slow so you dont hurt yourself. Most important thing is form. Lay flat on the bench, keep ur neck and head straight. Dont lift your butt or lower back off the bench. Start with the dumbells straight up in the air and slowyly bend backwords so they are 90 degrees, then lift back up. In both motions go slow so when bending and straightening you are working out the muscle. Does that help?

thanks guys that's great, I do it with two relatively light weights about a shoulder width apart, is it better to do with one heavier weight?
