Hi, I had sex with a stripper 2 nights ago and the next morning my pubic area was quite sore. I did not think much of it because I've experienced soarness in the area before from having not so gentle sex ( not really rough, but not gentle) Regardless, I used a condom and didn't really worry about anything else. However, this morning I noticed there were a couple tiny blisters or pimples in my pubic area where my pubic hair is. The blisters/pimples seemed to be right at the base or root of a strand of pubic hair. I scratched it a bit or tried to squeeze it and I believe I popped one of them and a bit of fluid/blood came out like a pimple would if you popped it. However, I am very scared and worried that I may have herpes because I looked all over the internet and although I don't have the symptoms described on the various sites, the one thing I do have are a couple blisters or pimples that looks a lot like the pictures I found. All the pictures I found for male herpes contained pictures of the penis, scrotum or lip area with blisters. Is it possible to have it in the pubic area (where the pubic hair is) too? I also gave oral to her and I have not had any type of blisters form on my mouth or lips(knocking on wood now), but I am very concerned about what is in my pubic area. What are the chances that it could be herpes considering I used a condom, I had no open soars and I did not think that she had any, and I also gave her oral and I have not seen any type of blisters form on my lips etc. The blisters/pimples hurt when i press on it but aside from that it doesn't really hurt, itch or tingle. The pain is more of soreness from the pubic area which I have experienced before. If anyone has any experience or good understanding of herpes and the chances of what I am experiencing is herpes or not, I would greatly appreciate your input.Thank you in adavance!newbie88

Chances are that what you have is an infected hair that has nothing to do with your encounter with the stripper. However, even though you wore a condom, if you had full penetration to where your pubic area made contact with her juices, you could have been exposed to something. But there needs to be an opening in your body (like your urethra or a cut) for something to enter. The infected hair, however, is your body reacting to a plugged hair follicle.

Thank you Readytogo for your input. I feel a bit more relieved now but it's still scary and I hope I didn't have to learn my lesson the hard way about being smart and careful. I'm kind of new to the dating scene after having been with the same girl for 10 years and all I knew was to use condoms. So as long as I had no cuts or open soars you think I should be ok? Reading all the stuff on the internet it looks like a simple skin to skin contact is enough for me to contract the herpes virus. I know I had no open soars but I figure just the pores in the skin can serve as an access point.I wonder if the blisters/pimples I got is an allergic reaction to the zit creame i put in the area the next day when i felt a little red bump that looked like a pimple. Regardless, there was a total of about 4-5 of them individual...one's within close proximity of each other but not clumped together on the left hand side of my pubic area. Most have popped already but there is 2 that is ready to pop that is a size of a matured pimple. I am crossing my fingers that I do not have herpes and will go get tested once I have medical insurance again as I am in between jobs right now.Chances are if it was herpes I got, since I gave her oral also, I should have gotten some symptoms on my mouth or lips too right? Or that is strictly by chance as well? I know I have a lot of questions but I am just really really freaked out right now. Thanks again for making me feel a little better though.

The only thing that will really ease you mind is to get tested. The fact that you are between jobs and without medical insurance should steer you toward a clinic. I'm sure there must be one in your area that will do the testing for little or no cost.
You don't indicate where you live, but you might start with your local government's health department. They should be able to steer you in the right direction. Let us know what you find out.
