I have heard that girls who take birth control pills, and stop taking their pack, like in the middle, will start their period then and their body won't wait until the right time to start it, is that correct?

Birth Control pill question

Of course. The pills are "real" pills for 3 weeks than you have 1 week of pills that are placebos. They have no hormones in that 1 week of pills and thats when you get the period. Sooo if you were to stop the pills 2 weeks into the month, you would get your period just as if you reached that 4th week of placebo pills.

So I can change my cycle this way, and it won't hurt me then, right.
-
Yup. Pretty much so.

Would it be okay just to take the second week and that is it, with out taking the first week?
Thanks for you help.

OK I'm confused. What is it that you want to do exactly? The pills in the pack "usually" are all the same except for the last week of placebo/sugar pills.

Why are u planning on doing this?

I used the pill to reschedule my period so I wouldnt be on while I was out of town. My gyno says it isnt a problem as long as you dont do it often.

I'm going on vacation in 4 weeks, I'm on my period right now, and it will make me be on my period then. So I want to take just part of the pack, so I will not be on my period then. I want to enjoy my time away without the hassel of my freakin period. It would really damper my mood and situation. And thanks for all your help, Sdp and the other 2.

You don't need to change your cycle by stopping early. It is better to just start a new fresh pack when you get to the 4th week placebo pills. You shouldn't have a period at all. You'll get your period the following month when you get to the 4th week pills.
