I wasnt picking on you, it jsut seemed a good place to put that in since your post quoted the bullet instant death shit.
I fish alot, I rarely keep them, I toss em back and dont use barbed hooks. Noone will eat them here but me and 1 kid anyways so I fish alot, but take home pretty few.
Now I wonder, Im fishing for fun and sport, not for food as I release most of them, am I doing it to torture them?
Im sure it hurts to get a hook in the mouth, its not all fear that drives em when they go on a run after the hook is set.

Wow..this is horrible
-
All this talk about fishing and pulling it by it's mouth with the hook makes me think of the Jackass movie when they went fishing with Steve-O. lol, That was funny.

something id have to wonder about is bowhunting, alot harder to aim then a firearm, can wind up with deer running around arrows in their ass cant be too pleasant
-
with a bow you rely on bleeding. a good shot through the heart lung area will kill them in a few minutes. If the aim was good, missed any bone, and the broadhead was sharp, Iv seen em stand there eating and didnt know they were shot. so long a the twang of the bow string didnt give you away or they saw or smelled you, they can stand there eating bleeding and not even know they were in danger.Iv also sen a few with gangrene, shafts broke off in shoulders or haunches and some I found long after they had been shot and ran off and died and none was able to blood trial them to find them to claim them. The same risks you take hunting with a rifle. The key is to being proficient with your chosen weapon, and taking enough practice time the rest of the year that you can hit accurately what you aim for when its time to take an animal.

I don't know. Your right it can't just be fear that makes em go.. "ooops bad idea" but, on the flipside I don't know anything about fish anatomy.. for them pain might not be "OMG MY ARM IS CUT OFF" oR "OH SHIT MY MOUTH" it could just be "hey.. run this aint right"
-
ah i see, thank you
-
I dunno either, but I love catching them!It must not be too bad as Iv caught fish that had 2 or 3 other hooks in their stomach when I gutted em, youd think if it really hurt that bad youd fucking learn

oh please!
c'mon, really, how many times have you hurt yourself and gone back and done the same damn stupid shit again? Probably about as many times as I have!
and fish have slightly smaller brains than you and I have brother  -
lmao!shit, I was actually refering to the physical scars, not the emotional onesummmmm... but you are SOOO right!
-
speak for yourself pops, I aint lurnt nuthin!!

No, I wasn't trying to tell you that everything you do with your dog is wrong, but I came off like that. I was just mad that you weren't getting my point, which I can't even remember any more, and don't care enough to go look. Normally, as a rule of thumb, I don't offer any advice whatsoever unless asked... For the exact reason that people are touchy when it comes to pets (and kids, and weight, and....). I should have kept my mouth shut in this instance, also.

Fair enough. I'm sorry I got so offended, but my mother went through this whole thing with our pastor last year. He told her that her beloved dog Elliot who had passed away a year ago had no soul according to God, and that she wouldn't even see him in Heaven. "Im sorry, that's just the way God works."
So, it's a sensitive area with me. Maybe we believe that out of fear of the alternative, but it doesn't really matter.
Anyway- water under the bridge.

Unless that pastor had a personal revelation from God, I don't know where he got that. The Bible is silent on the subject.
