Biceps

Plain ol curls with free weights straight up and down, stand up have you arm all the way down lift then lower it slowly dont just let it fall and repeat try and do it evenly on both arms so you dont get uneven

I wont start a new thread about it so I'll stick it in here. I have trouble developing my biceps and triceps. I think it may be due to my bad back (I have a curviture of the spine). I can't seem to get the right posture. When I'm using the weights equipment (not free weights) I find that I am stressing my back too much and not putting enough strength in my arms. I feel as though my back will spasm/snap under the weight being put on my biceps if I don't tighten it up by stressing.I can only lift 25kg properly and I have been stuck on this weight for months. If I haven't improved after 3 months then I am not going to improve in the next few months, am I? Do you think there is a relation between my bad back and my inability to lift weights for bicpe exercises.P.S. I struggle to lift any kind of free weights (dumbbells) comfortably because I feel as though I am placing too much strain on my spine. When I use 5kg dumbbells I feel aches in my spine, waist, wrist and shoulder. I cannot feel any kind of lactic acid in my biceps at all, jut the ache and pain from other areas. What should I do?

You should work with a trainer, at least once. Giving you advice about how to proceed without any training, and without having met you, could result in advice that might lead to injury. A trainer might very quickly be able to tell you what to do. Curvature of the spine is not a rare condition.

Trouble is, Personal Trainers are not free of charge. And I am worried that they will not be able to tell me anything I cannot read in a library book.In the UK, we have to pay around £100 for an orthodontist appointment, even on the NHS. I want to sort my face out but I know the Orhtodontist won't help me because a brace wouldn't work with the problems I have, so I would be wasting my money altogether. It's the same with a Personal Trainer, IMO. Too much money for too little reward.
