Yeah I've had about 8 removed and I'm fine. The blood poisoning would definately have been due to an infection unrelated to the actual removal process, but the hygiene of the tools and environment. The mole removal cannot poison our blood. The mole is there to begin with, cutting it out won't have it release any toxins into our blood!
For cosmetic reasons, it's better to have them frozen off (may require more than one round on each mole). It's not very painful (like an extended pin prick) and done without anaesthetic. The surface of the mole will drop off and it'll become level with the skin. A small one may just drop off altogether, and results vary as they mole increases in size. They usually take about 7-10 days to drop off, and this isn't painful. There's no pain after the freezing pain subsides (just a few hours after the procedure).
Burning ain't bad too, requires anaesthetic (local) normally, so the actual procedure doesn't hurt. Leaves a small pink burn scar afterwards. One treatment and it's gone. It smells pretty foul.
Having them cut out would normally be done only if it was thought to be malignant (cancerous). Can leave quite a big scar and I've got quite a few. The small moles sometimes don't leave much of a scar.
Never tried laser removal, so can't say much about it.
