I'm 28 years old. I noticed three days ago (Sunday) that a small mole on my arm has become itchy and slightly raised. There is redness around the outside of the edges. This is a mole I've had my whole life, and I don't believe it has otherwise grown or changed shape (it's still symmetrical).I was at a cottage this weekend, and I do have mosquito bites on my arms and legs. Is it possible that this itchiness is a result of a mosquito bite on my mole? I was thinking about waiting a week to see if it goes away with the other bites. Is this acceptable, or do I need to get it checked sooner?ThanksStacey

Itchy mole - something to worry about?

You don't want to mess around with moles, especially if there are changes. I would schedule an appoinment with a doctor or preferably a dermatologist and have it evaluated.

absolutely have it looked at. it's probably nothing, but you need to be sure. skin cancer is easily cured if caught early.
