I was cut and birth and since getting older have always resented that fact. While surfing wikipedia today i happened across a foreskin restoration page. One of the methods was manual; gripping the skin were the shaft meets the intact foreskin and gently and painlessly pulling upward, and to do this for a few months until the foreskin is restoredI noticed these manually restored foreskins seem alot thicker than pictures of foreskin ive seen. Id like to attempt this manual restoration but i was wondering if anyone knew if the foreskin that you "create" would have hightened sensations and if it would retract ect like normal foreskin.

Foreskin restoration

It's thicker becasue it's the shaft skin. I don't think you "regain" any forskin sensation although you do change the texture and sensation of the glans.
This manual method seems pretty iffy in my book. Some of the restoration sites I've seen involve lots of tape, tubes and other contraptions AND lots and lots of time.
Doesn't seem worthwhile to me. -
I agree with sdp. Although you can also stretch the remaining inner foreskin too, instead of, or in conjunction with stretching the shaft skin. It depends where you put the tension. The inner foreskin is the more pinkish colored skin above the circumcision scar, up to the head. It is much thinner than shaft skin. Manual restoration, or "tugging" takes a lot longer than using a stretching device or taping. Most use tugging in addition to a stretching device. Depending on how tightly you were cut (i.e. how much remaining foreskin you have), it can take 2-3 years of stretching, using taping or devices to grow enough foreskin to have full coverage. I thought about it, and even tried it a few months, but I determined it was too much time, and too much effort and inconvenience for me. The main benefit in sensations, besides the gliding action of the foreskin against the glans, is the glans is reported to get smoother and much more sensitive with a restored foreskin. Just about everyone who has restored has reported significant increased sensitivity in the glans. However, you can never regain the sensitivity that was in the original foreskin, as the foreskin contained nerve endings that were removed with the foreskin and cannot be re-grown. So, foreskin restoration gives you a reasonable facsimile of a foreskin with increased sensitivity in the glans, but it is not a fully functioning foreskin.

It does take a long time and you have to have patience; have also used a lot of tape, not to many devices; the last device I used was a O ring - had the touch up surgery on June 14, 2006 with much success. Oh, I started restoring with two water proof band aids on July 1, 1993. Follow-up doctors appointment on August 24, 2006 and the doctor was very pleased with the outcome. It looks very real to me, and with all the sensitivity and movement.

Its good to hear stories like that, Its really something that since ive been reading into it has become a really highly considered thought.I plan on having at least a resonable likeness to foreskin eventually, i might consider surgery even.Haha, Ill make sure when i have kids not to have them cut, and let them decide when theyre older if they wish. Because i sure regret being cut.
