these days, i'm really confused on wut i want, and wut i should be doing now. I keep hearing from older friends and people to have fun while ur a kid. But my parents just WONT STOP BITCHING about how i need a 4.0 and need to get into harvard so i'll have a good life and shit. this crap is really getting old, and my mom cares more for my grades than my life. every single time that we start talking, she changes the subject to my studies and how i nned to acheive above and beyond everyone in the school. So i'm thinking, should i acaully listen to some of wut she's saying or should i just say fuck it, and live my own life?

Which is right?
-
also i have anther thing to add-
right now, she's drilled this thing in my head so much, i can't stop thinking. i'm always afraid that i might get below and A on homework/tests. i'm having some dreams where i failed tests, and then my mom just goes insane. i'm getting pretty depressed too.

Education results do matter - more than they should. Bad grades can start you off badly in life and make it hard to get where you want to be in many (not all) professions.
So you do have to give them attention. On the other hand, being constantly stressed is very bad for you, and can make you burn out. Try to keep a balance between work and fun.

Choose a simple career that doesn't need education. Like Skateboarder or Actor! Or Artist! Something skill/talent base.
-
If all else fails become a plumber. They get awesome pay
-
"Actor" yea, some of them coudl have faild kindergarten 13 years in a row and still be paid the same amount as they do...actually, i bet soem of them actually did fail kindergarten
-
Lol!! So true... so true...
-
i have alot of respect for Hugh Laurie, Robert Sean Leonard, Robin Williams, Matthew Macaughnahey, Jennifer Morrison, Lisa Edlstien and Anthony Hopkins. Most of the rest are morons, i cant stand the whole paparatzi thing, annoys me to no end
-
my advice, is to just do it to the best of your ability, I have been gettign mostly B's in my classes since i got into High school, i dunno why
-
Lol! Those are all the Actors from House! I'd make more cash dropping out of high school. *cough* Pink Floyd *cough*
-
hehehe, yea, im friggin addicted to House, i havent missed an episode in the...2 going on 3 years its been on

neither is right. what it takes is balance. when it's time to study learn to concentrate and learn. then when you have the study stuff under control let your hair down and enjoy being young. a bit hard to find the right balance and keep parents who think you should be a perpetual study machine off your back but doing the right amount of work to make the grades will help them see you can do both.
