Okie. So my boyfriend and I were both virgins when we began having sex. We still don't do it that often cause neither of us believe its absolutely a key importance to our relationship. And we took some advice and read up on using the Spermicidal Lubricated condoms. So far so good. Well recently he's asked me to go down on him. And at first I was afraid. Then got used to it and he'd usually finish some other way because I have a problem with cum in my mouth. So tonight we decided to use a condom while I gave him oral sex. The only kind we had around was the Spermicidal ones so we used those.
Question is...: Is it a bad thing that I put that in my mouth? Its not going to make me sick or die or anything is it? And another question. Whats your opinion on my choice of condoms?

Nonoxynol-9 Spermicidal Condom Question!!!
-
I cant find any information on whether its toxic when ingested. It might say somewhere on the box that the condoms came in though. if you start feeling off, call a doctor or go to the emergancy room. I imagine you're probably fine though.something to know though, is that condoms that are prelubricated with nonoxynol-9 haven't been shown to be more effective at preventing pregnancy than condoms lubricated with non spermicidal substances, and there are some negative health effects of using them."Some condoms are lubricated at the manufacturer with a small amount of nonoxynyl-9. According to Consumer Reports, spermicidally lubricated condoms have no additional benefit in preventing pregnancy, have a shorter shelf life, and may cause urinary-tract infections in women.[18] The World Health Organization says that spermicidally lubricated condoms should no longer be promoted. However, they recommend using a nonoxynol-9 lubricated condom over no condom at all.[19]In contrast, application of separately packaged spermicide is believed to increase the contraceptive efficacy of condoms.[1]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spermicidenonoxynol-9 can also increase your risk of getting an STD. if your at risk, you shouldn't use it.what you could do in the future, is get some nonlubricated condoms and buy a seperate lubricant or spermicide. if you buy a lubricant you can get it flavored, and if you get a spermicide you'd actually be able to benefit from it, unlike with condoms prelubricated with it. just make sure that any luricant you get is water based. oil reacts with laytex and degrades it, making the condom more likely to break.

The LD50 - the dose that causes half of the group to die - is 1410 mg/kg for rats and 4290 mg/kg for mice when given orally. That suggests it has fairly low toxicity, and you are unlikely to have any serious effects.
-
Is that right??? The dose for mice is 3 times that for rats. Or is it reversed?
-
Remember these are in milligrams per kilogram of body weight. Most mice are less than a third the weight of most rats, so the lethal dose in milligrams will be less. But corrected for body weight, mice are more resistant than rats to this particular compounds.
The significant difference between two closely-related rodents shows the difficulty in estimating the toxicity in humans from animal data, but there's no other data available. -
Wow, all those little vermin taking one for the team, so we can improve our sex lives.......then again I feed baby mice to my bearded dragon and he seems happy with it....sorry about hijackin the thread, just thought it was funny.
