OK, well, I've been wondering if I have phimosis since I've heard about what it was. Also, I haven't had a circumcision. I think I have buried penis and I think that's one sign of it... right? And it's really weird... When I get into an erection, the head of my penis comes out of the foreskin and I sort of feel a burning sensation. When this happens, I feel very uncomfortable. This happens every single time I have an erection, so when I do get older I think it will affect my sex life. So if this is indeed phimosis, I'm always up for a circumcision. So if this is indeed phimosis, should I consult my doctor before it's too late? I feel embarrassed to ask my parents, you know? Is there a time that it's too late to treat phimosis? Is it bad to masturbate under these conditions? I am just very curious... I also don't want to end up being alone because I can't have sex when I'm older due to a disease I could've treated earlier. Please respond... If I think of anything else that will help, I will add it. Thank you very much for your time.

Wondering if I have phimosis...

Hey bud, got a couple of questions. Can you completely retract the foreskin over the head of your penis and onto the shaft when flaccid and erect? If your foreskin moves over the head and onto the shaft when you have an erection, then you really don't have phimosis. It does sound like you've got a foreskin that is longer. Just like penises, foreskins come in all lengths. Some are aren't really long and part of the head of our penis is exposed some of the time. Other foreskins may be longer so that they actually "hang" over the end of the head of the penis. So you need to let us know what type of foreskin you're dealing with. As to that pain and stinging, that's normal for us uncut guys. The head of your penis stays covered most of the time and its really protected from direct stimulation. With a little work you can "cure" that. The more you touch, rub, stimulate and expose it to touch, the less sensitive (painful) it will be and the more pleasure it will provide. Please don't worry about being alone or not being able to have sex at some point, you'll be fine. Answer these questions and we'll see what suggestions to offer.

I had the same problem when I was a little younger, my parents at a young age had always told me to "clean my penis" and pull the foreskin back etc. Past the age of 4 I don't think they really helped me so it was up to me. I didn't really have any sex drive and my penis was just another body part and it went unnoticed for a long time until my first erection. It got really really tight at the top and I thought it was going to explode or something. I remember though, the erection felt so good I knew my foreskin had to be pulled back, I just put some lotion on it in a really hot shower to loosen all my skin and even though it was a little painful, I just pulled it back. The skin was very red, like it was a cut, but it was just overlapped skin that hadn't changed position for years and years and years. It was SO sensitive at first but I slowly gave it attention in the shower, with masturbation etc. and it slowly became more and more desensitized so it could be touched without me cringing. Now it's in perfect working order but I have a track on the bottom of my penis that kinda looks like a scar that I wonder if it's from the growth of my penis with the foreskin never being moved. Oh well! it reminds me of my childhood!

Megaman, if the head of your penis comes out of the foreskin when you get an erection, that's not phimosis. In phimosis the head can't get out. Perhaps your head is inflamed and over-sensitive. Have you been washing under the foreskin? If you don't, the head can get irritated from bacterial action on what gets under there.Reflex88, that "track" on your penis might be the raphe - the scar from when your penis was joined up in the womb from two halves. Many of us have a visible one on the scrotum, and some of us have a visible one on the underside of the penis.

So you're completely sure it's not? The head looks like it's squeezing out, like when you squeeze half of a squishy ball, the part exposed gets larger... That's what it looks like. And ohh! Thanks so much about the insight about the scar on the scrotum. I thought my doctors made a mistake when I was a baby or something... haha.

It's hard to be sure from just a description, but I think what you are seeing is the head's natural shape. Have you looked at the penis pictures on the site?

im pretty sure you dont have it, i have phimosis so i should know!do this for me:find the end of ur foreskin and pull it back, if u can see or feel a 'ring' at the end preventing the foreskin from sliding back then you have phimosis..your case might just need some attention to see if it pulls back. still i dont know much about pulling back foreskin due to the fact it has never been pulled back!
