I have a dark spot on the head of my penis. It has been there for as long as I can remeber and it doesn't hurt at all when I touch it. Is it a birthmark or freckle? It is a few millimeters in diameter and is round. Would you happen to know what it is? Also, there are there small white bumps on the back of my penis that seem to be tiny pimples. Do you know what they are? Thank you for all your help.

Dark Spot

Welcome to A2A, 2345. The dark spot is probably a birthmark or freckle. You can get them anywhere.Where exactly are the white bumps? Most likely they are sebaceous glands - again quite normal.
-
The white bumps are on the back of the penis glans where the foreskin is attached. It is beside the frenulum. There are about 3 tiny bumps on each side of the frenulum and they are very small. Thank you so much for all you help!

They could be Tyson glands, though the existence of these is disputed - they may be ordinary sebaceous glands or pearly penile papules. All of these are normal.

Thank you so much for all of your help.

As Ineligible said, they are Tyson's glands and are completely normal.Tyson's glands are vestigial, i.e. no useful function. They probably secrete a small amount of mucus that in theory might (in some distant past evolutionary ancestor) have contributed to sexual lubrication or odor marking. They are invisible in most men, but the tiny openings are on each side of the urethra (penile opening), toward the underside of the penis.http://www.medhelp.org/forums/STD/messages/292.html

Thanks for the information. I was starting to think that the dark spot was a form of cancer or a bruise.

Do you know any way to get rid of the dark spot or white bumps. I try to wash it with lots of soap. Thanks.
-
Doubtful. You can't get rid of birthmarks, moles, freckles, etc. that way either.
Don't worry about it
I have a brownish spot on one side of my glans and noone has made any comment about it before.

The white bumps seem to be disappearing but they're still there. Thanks for all your help.
