Okay so here's the scoop. On Saturday I (a female) went to the doctors and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I went home, got antibiotics, and slept. The next day my boyfriend came down sick with a stomach ache and diarrea. (We don't live together.) That night I was feelng better (and had 24 hours worth of antibiotics in my system) so I went over and hung out with him to celebrate new years. Some small pimples seemed to form on my lips which became very chapped. I stopped off at the local hospial and asked if it was serious and a nurse said no. When it struck 2007, I performed oral sex on my boyfriend. We've been together for over 3 1/2 years and have not had intercourse. About 8 hours later his stomach ache was gone but his urine burned. The rest of the day was fine but that night he noticed two unusual red bumps on his penis. It's been days since and they (as in the bumps) haven't done anything. I've gone to the doctors and am currently being tested for herpes. Does it sound like my boyfriend has herpes? What are some other possibilities? We're a bit nervous. Thank you!!

Herpes Scare....

all I can say is, OH SHIT!
-
Okay, I must say, that didn't help the situation.

It doesn't sound like herpes, but he might want to get it checked out, it may be some other sort of infection. Sounds like he had a touch of stomach flu or something, and possibly a UTI. It has been a few days, any improvements? Herpes sores are oozy, and very painful, not to mention really itchy.

I dont see how that could happen unless you picked it up from a public toilet btu the chances of that are one in a million, so was one of you cheating?

Who Pepsi? Reply to the right person pls.

No, either of us were cheating. The boyfriend did make a mistake over a year and 1/2 ago, but we would have known by now. We were tested for STDs (just for general knowledge to know if we were fine or not) about 6 months ago.As an update, I took a blood test and they took a culture of a cut on my lip. This was probably about 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard back. My physician said that it's negative then. The boyfriend went to the doctor a week ago today. She said it wasn't a UTI. She did say it looked like a sore/ a sign of herpes but she wasn't sure. We have yet to hear back from a culture they took from the bumps themselves. We're still oh so curious as to what's going on, so I'll keep you posted.A side note to "sdp"... relax, everyone can see the reply and by reading it understand who the question/ statement was for. It's habit to just click the last reply. I'm sure who ever posted the question just meant for it to join the rest at the bottom. Happy Friday!

I know.. It's a bad habit though. They just need to get into the habit of properly responding because it get's confusing if a lot of people join and the thread starts going astray. Then you don't necessarily know who is talking to whom.

My physician said that it's negative then. You're probably right, but never assume "negative" because you haven't heard back. They misplace test results more often than you would imagine, so you ought to call back for a definitive answer if you haven't heard anything.Sometimes these threads get very difficult to follow if everyone just replies to the last post, and it destroys the ability to look at them in them in threaded mode (see under Topic Options at the top). Not knowing who's responding to whom often leads to ruffled feathers and yelling, screaming, and flaming.
