**Hello
I have a question I was hoping to receive some feed back on. Im doing so understanding that I may receive messages and E-mails ridiculing and mocking me, but first my long winded tale.....
About 6 months ago I noticed small iddy biddy bumps on the base of my penis they were mostly skin colored with a small hue of white. I had a panic attack basically and was whippin out my johnson for everyone to have a gander and give me their diagnosis. I received a lot of "Ingrown hair" and "Hair follicle" theories. That was good enough to put my mind at east for another month.
The next month came and the lil fellas were still their so I booked it to my local doctor and had him take a gander. He looked at it and first thought Chlamydia, he then told me instead of taking a shot in the dark and curing me he was gonna do a full std scan (AIDS HIV HERPES GHONNAREA ETC ETC). I pee'd in the cup and let em draw the blood and waited 2 weeks.
The two weeks pass I go back into the doctor, and wait and wait and wait in the room. The door opens and he walks in, ask to have another look and then says
"You have herpes, fill this and take it everyday do not miss a day i repeat do not miss a day"
He hands me the prescription for Valtrex and then leaves the room.
I take the prescription go to the pharmacy and pay 250 bucks for a 2 weeks supply of valtrex. I take it religiously, exactly 12 hours apart from each other every single time. The two weeks is up, it doesn't look worse, but it definatly looks EXACTLY the same as it did 2 months ago, so I go back to the doctor, he refills my valtrex i spend another 250 bucks take them religiously for 2 more weeks and I still look exactly the same.
At this point my savings is cashed and livin from paycheck to paycheck doesn't handle dr bills to well.
Iv been doing some research and talking to people who have had Herpes and HPV for numerous years and etc etc. And A handful are telling me that you can receive a false positive herpes result when you actually have HPV since their is no testing for HPV. Anyone know any sources on this?
The only thing I know as a fact is that 100% of the people I have talked to that have also been diagnosed with herpes say they have never had bumps stick around for 6 months especially after medicine. Anyone ever hear of any kind of super herpes or something like that? Also can a dr trained more in the area of STD's be able to be diagnose HPV? And would a place like planned parenthood or a county health office examine it and give me a second opinion at a cheaper price or when it comes to STD's are all visits everywhere highly expensive?
Sorry for my rambling I just thought I would present what I have going on as I would to whichever Dr. I go to next. As I am done with the other doctor ..... I dont know, I kind of feel like he should of at least told me some stuff about the medicine or gave me a pamphlet or something -shrug- **
