Pet food recall!!!!
-
Wow, thank god we have nothing but the finest horse meat in our dog food...
-
it says something about the wheat gluten and how it was from another supplier. i was just talking to mom and she said that maybe they had pesticides on their wheat...
-
This is what happens when you fancy pants North Americans pamper your pets, giving them subtle diets of tofu and marmite!A dog will eat the scraps from your table! And a cat will eat the dog! Thats all they need!
-
i think it was aflatoxin? something like that, i heard about that yesterday
-
im a HUGE dog and cat lover, and i freaked out because my puppy has epilepsy and he has to eat wet food with his medicine twice a day. in my opinion if animals were supposed to eat human food, they wouldnt have dog food made for them.
-
i have no idea what it was. but its disgusting how they did this.can you find the article about it???
-
As far as I know there are only a few human foods that dogs and cats can't eat. Spicy food is an obvious one, but dogs can't eat chocolate and cats can't drink pasteurized milk.
-
heres one and another and a list of the recalled foods
-
thanks hunn!!!

i dont know. i would rather not give them anything like that. my dog was fed table scraps (against my will) and now he suffers from a heart murmur and he had to diet because he was waaay too big. im paranoid over my babies..
-
oo my brother was the same way, thing is his dog that he fed the science diet stuff, ended up with bad arthritis and i think they replaced her hip, our dog thats the same age, we feed table scraps, or that wet or dry stuff, and hes turned into the arnold schwarzeneggar of dogs, just a hell of a lot cuter, hes around 7 or so and still acts like a puppy, hell we have a 13 year old cat thats more graceful and quick than my 3 year old cat

Dogs and Cats, are meant to eat raw meat. They get their "greens" from the intestine of their prey, and they get extra fiber from the hair of their prey...Tell me that they are meant to eat the crap we buy in cans and kibble form! I took my dog off kibble 5 years ago, and he had seizures for 2 weeks while he detoxed. Nice eh? I don't care what they say, there is pesticides and all sorts of other chemicals in the dog food (including the drugs that they use to euthinize animals).I did some research, and discovered, the "B.A.R.F." diet, (bones and raw foods). My doggie, got healthier, and stayed puppyish for a lot longer. Too bad I didn't know this before he was so old. I may have prevented his cancer. Now, if people would eat as healthily as my dog does, we would live forever..lol

well what do/did you feed your dog?
-
raw meat and veggies (even fruit, depending on what is in season), hamburger and eggs, which mixes well with ALL sorts of veggies, and makes a yucky looking "soft food" that is great for pills, or travel. I put garlic, tomato (sauce sometimes) a bit of vinegar,(garlic and vinegar, help with the fleas but doesn't eliminate em).He gets, any and all, raw bones (I do like my rib steak bones so I keep those to myself..lol) but he gets the bones from chicken breasts quite regularly, I just buy the bone in ones, and turn em into boneless, skinless for me, and he gets the bones.. Instead of other things to chew on, I keep a bowl of raw potatoes on the floor, he LOVES em...and he gets raw carrots to chew on, they ARE great natural toothbrushes.I did notice that he has a shinier coat, brighter eyes, WAY more energy, and he doesn't fart as much nor have such stinky breath! He had to learn to eat ONLY out of his dish, but he did learn to stop begging for OUR food after some time.NO COOKED bones, they temper, and that is what can tear up their intestine. Google BARF dog food. There is TONS of info on it.
