I was just making a statement, as far as beer PRICES go (All opinions on taste aside) Guinness seems to be higher priced than most.

Is it really that bad?

It still is a test of breaking the law (although it's also motivated exactly by what you said, they don't want you missing work because you're stoned or in jail. The water comment is illogical; addiction refers to negative or unnecessary behaviour that interferes with your ability to continue a normal life."Bad habits" are one thing, I agree; picking your nose in public is a bad habit, having to snort a line of coke before you go to school is an example of an addiction.People dying from cancer who never smoked (I would assume you're talking about lung cancer) is a whole different topic that will start me into a second-hand smoking rant...

If good sir alec was around to read that he would slap the shit out of you calling his stout a fucking beer.bah!

They dont want you missing work period, but that not why the drug testing.as an employer they care because it drives up insurance. Not your medical fuck the emloyee let them pay for it insurance, the insurace for at work injury, the lost time accidents, the lawsuites over an innocent suing because of something an employee did while stoned on the job.Like everything else in life, they care about anything because of th bottom line, not because they give a shit about you. Besides drug testing is an often cheap adn easy way to get rid of a shitty employee. What fucking blows me away is that yesterday I was working on a deck in town, and this mexican kid (I say kid but he was easy 25 to 30 years old) and asked me for a job and the fuckhead was drunk as shit when he walked up. I could smell a mobile brewery before I heard him over th saw trying to get my attention.First dont go ask fora job drunk off your ass and reekign of booze, second why the fuck would you bother someone using a power saw concentrating on what they were doing rather than wait 40 seconds for them to get done and put down the fucking saw?I dont employee people, I simply have no need of employees till I step up my license after june to a general and start bidding and subbing out th work instead of doing it all myself but if I did, I wouldnt hire that fuckhead period.Keep in mind this was like 9 am before I came home to eat breakfast and check email like I normally do about 10 am since I often work till dark to complete contracts. And after I told him I wasnt hiring he wanted to bullshit ? asking stupid questions trying to get on my good side like that made a difference ?Before when I had my previous general license I hired and fired people all the time. I never drug tested, I didnt care, unless they were fucked up at work. what they did on thier own time is thier own time and none of my business but if they were injured or fucked up at work you could gurnatee Id pay that fee to have a piss test. I also used drug tests to get rid of employees that didnt do anythign firable, but were general fuck ups and their record at work made them a liability. You can lay off at anytime, but then you cant hire a replacement the next day, find a reason to fire them, no worries legally.

I have personal issues with smoking, many of them coming from visits to hospice houses and seeing all the people dying there because smoking damaged their lungs... And that's all I'm going to say about it.
