ok... Anyone else in here ever start listening to music.. and you actually feel like doing what it says? I have always gotten a rush with metal. I live it. I love it. I am it. However its almost 1 in the morning and I gotta move stuff.. and as I'm sitting here listening to a great local band. (Surprising we have anything at all in louisiana.. horrible place to go for metal).I listen to one lyric "all you have to do is throw your life away!" and suddenly I feel like getting in a mosh pit and just running around full speed left and right XD. Not nessicerly stepping on people.. but, just moshing in general. I wouldn't mind walking out with a few bruises I have no idea why but, I'm really wired up right now. I feel as jittery and really into the music atm.. 0.o

All you have to do is throw your life away.

music and the energy it gives you is good.
And hey, I was in the pit before they called it moshing... and before a mosh pit was appropriate at every fucking concert including Sarah McLachlan (and way before it started happening at metal concerts)
-
I know what you mean , and i honestly thought it was just me , i just cannot listen to The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony when walking down a street it makes me feel sort of invincible and like in the video harmless people who now walk into me have to suffer , although i can't say the people walking here are polite.
-
I love that song. It kind of puts me into a dream-like state when I listen to it. I've never seen that video though. Well I don't watch ANY music videos unless the kids have something on. LOL
-
I only enjoy the music off that song, but there are other songs that make me like that

ahh the old days of moshing! back when it was just slam dancing and you only found it with die hards wearing mohawks and spikes and leather and the music was punk, not what passe for punk now, but real honest to fucking god punk!Gone are those days my friend, but I remember them well and yes I had the mohawk. In a small town in Utah not alot of people had ever seen a mohawk outside of a movie or tv, but i was fucking wearing it! and it was several different colors over the time I had it, red green, blue. I remember the old days, and they were good. The only place here to go was a dive joint that was under an overpass in dalt lake city. I dont remember the name of the club..speedway? I think thats right the fucking speedway!it was a shit hole and it was the greatest place Id ever been at the time.

How do you people do this?
I find it hard enough to pay attention to whats wiggling around in front of my face, let alone what music is playing.
The only music I can name is the shit I hate because ya hear it constantly... and country but that should go without having to say.
I've tried to get into music. I can't, my mind wonders off doing more entertaining shit. -
because music is fucking great!and its nto about what music it is.Its about hat old punk, real punk inspired violence and energy, and slam dancing was created from that.and when your doing tha your not paying attention, keep knees and elbows hit, jump in any direction and when (not if) you get hurt stand back up and get back to dancing nto fucking crying.I have dozens of favorites, mostly I listen to music in the car, or at the computer, or sometimes walking alone on the woods or keep the mp3 player in my ear when Im working. its all background noise.besides scotty I know your full of shit, you listen to it, you paid attention to it, you were a stripper at one point, you had to pay attention to make the moves match the music.
-
That was just the beat though. Not who it was, what it was or anything else. I mean, I do love music I just can't get into it. I just like it for background noise, while I'm off livin' in my own little world that exists in my head.I guess it's like anything else with me. I now what I like and what I want to know but beyond that I could care less about it. My interest into any subject, even those I seem passionate about, only extends so far.
-
I do remember "boom shaka la, wang do ba dee..." did a lot stripping to that. Don't remember the name, I think it was Apache something or it was sung by them. I know it was in Dum and Dummer, and they ruined it for me, could never strip to it again.

whether you are conscious of unconscious of it music is everywhere its almost unavoidable ! i know for me first thing i do when i wake up is turn on the radio and the first thing i do when i go to walk out of my house alone is put on my ipod , just because you can't name artists and songs is not really important unless you intend to go look them up for new songs but the really beauty is in those songs that you here and then you have them in your head to the point where they drive you insane.
