Im getting kind of worried. It's been going on for five days now, and it's REALLY heavy! Every time I stand up I get a huge blood clot; this is freaky O_o I just started in december, so obviously im not used to this kind of thing. Any suggestions? Just grin and bear it or should I go see a Doc?

Sounds like you just need to deal. Your body will regulate in time, and you will learn what is normal for you.
Causes for concern are heavy cramping, sharp pain, and if you continue for more than 10 days really heavy like that. BUT, it is all relative. No matter who you are, periods just suck.
I know someone who for her first 3 days SHOULD wear a diaper, she uses the biggest tampon and biggest pad available TOGETHER, and will still leave blood all over within an hr. The docs can't find anything wrong, she is nearly fourty, and has been this way since she was in her early 20's.

You could probably call one of those "Ask a Nurse" hotlines and discuss it with a nurse, if that would make you feel better and ease your mind.If they think you should see a doctor/gyno, then they would tell you.

wow...loosing that much blood really can't be good for you.One of my mates has isses with her periods being too heavy so she went the the doctor and got drugs to make them lighter...

She has been to dr after dr...Nothing. BC kicks her ass, she feels tired and sick all the time, but it lightened her periods. Sick and tired ALL the time wasn't worth the other relief. So, she just deals.
