so a few days ago my bf and i had sex a bit painful but it was pretty good & now today im seeing blood in my urine....I've also realized that i have this urge or tingling feeling to urinate...the sensation is like a cramp after I've peed..{the urination is sometimes only a few drops} need to Should I be totally petrified or is it because of the sexual pain a few days ago or could it be a bladder infection from holding my pee too long?NB: everything else is normal; no strange odor or irregular discharge, just the urination and blood

Sounds like you have honeymoon cystitis, a urinary tract infection (UTI). Go to the doctor as soon as you can for some antibiotics, it can get very painful. I posted this in another topic a few days ago:I'm one of the unfortunate ones that has honeymoon cystitis to the point of the doctors wanting to put a camera into my bladder, so evidently I'm now a bit of a nerd on the subject. Sometimes when going to the doctors after an attack, it still showed up that I had an infection with all sorts of crap floating around in my pee even though I felt fine. If it's happened once, it's likely to happen again so I would definitely go to the doctor about this while it's not ruining your life. As I'm sure you're aware, a cystitis attack is very debilitating and you can't always get out of the foetal position and leave the toilet long enough to reach the doctors. Especially if the infection hasn't completely gone and you have intercourse again (or not, sometimes it just comes out of nowhere), it's likely to get worse. In the meantime, here's a few things that will help:1) Drink cranberry juice. It helps SO much. I was literally hooked on the stuff when my bladder was at it's worst. Now I just drink a glass in the morning to prevent it. It's surprisingly effective.2) Make sure you're peeing as soon as you feel the need to go and go to the loo before and immediately after sex to flush out any bacteria that might have entered your urethra.3) You might want to take some paracetamol or ibuprofen to help that horrible, heavy, achy feeling in your bladder, and the cramping immediately after you pee.4) Also, a rather obvious point to make, be sure you're wiping from front to back or you're just asking for trouble. You mentioned pain when having sex. What kind of pain is it and where? I would definitely mention that to your doctor as well. It's probably something as simple as his penis hitting your cervix but it never hurts to check. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask
