I regret to say that recently I have had sex without protection. Me and my new girlfriend were feeling romantic but did not have any condoms nor was she on the pill. Because of this I agreed to not allow myself to climax and if I still did to withdraw before. Luckily I did not cum at all. However now I am finding out that pre-cum can cause pregnancy, hence I am freaking out. What are the chances of getting her pregnant through this? She does not think I should be worried though, because she told me she just had her period. However, we had sex about a week ago, and now she just got her period at about yesterday. I was somewhat under the impression that even if she did get her period, it is not an accurate indication of not being pregnant, because a certain amount of time must pass before you are truly safe. Taking all this into account, where should I go from here, and what should I be expecting?

Chances of Pregnancy?

However now I am finding out that pre-cum can cause pregnancy It can if you recently ejaculated or some semen got past the prostate. Precum (which has no sperm it it) can then push that semen out during sex. Even then chances are very low.. I was somewhat under the impression that even if she did get her period, it is not an accurate indication of not being pregnant, because a certain amount of time must pass before you are truly safe. She had her period.. That means that her ovulation time is a couple of weeks away.. there is no chance your sperm will survive that long...Bottom line, you should be fine, but do yourself a favor and buy some condoms.

You can still have a period and be pregnant. Ive heard of people who were pregnant for awhile and still got their periods/were bleeding? (dont know if its still ur period)

It's not a true period, but occasionally there's enough bleeding to seem like a period. That's quite rare, though.
