Been a while guys. Its been a while since I've been here.... Almost forgot about it with school and everything else going on.Long story short I've never been great with grades.. I have never paid much attention in class. Lately I've come to realize just how bad it is..I have an appointment with a doctor soon. I was wondering what are the odds I will be prescribed something.. I am generally against medication if avoidable.. however, I have tried getting tutoring so that its more "one on one" but, that doesn't help. I've tried doing my homework.. but, I take so long doing it.. most of the time I'm doing my homework.. I am zoning out..I am closer than I'd like to being half way through the semister.. (luckily most of my test and such seem to be in the second half of the semester).. Since my mom handles all the details she called our family doctor and he recommended another doctor since he can't diagnose add himself. So I have a "consultation" scheduled.. I am wondering how many "consultations" It will take until I am diagnosed.

It depends on the doc.......how many consultations it will take to determine if have ADD or not. You maybe prescribed some meds to help you focus more on studies.I have been on some similar drugs for a while though I dont have ADD/ADHD (its a long story) and I think few of them do help a lot.

I was "diagnosed" with ADD but the fact was is that grade school and middle school were super easy..so once i got to highschool i really didn't care anymore. I took a drug called Straterra for awhile. Don't get it. It made me feel nauseous every day.
Also I'd stay away from stimulants such as Adderol
