Quote:Watching ''Scream'' with my babysitter as a child did me no favours now that you said that it could be why i don;t like horror movies. I was exposed to them way too early. I was really little when my sister would let me watch them and I remember being scared as hell of , original (first) friday the 13th, pet semuntary, jaws and poltergeist. I remember some zombie movie when I was really little too it was in black and white. I dk if it’s the same movie as eddies talking about or not tho bt I remember I hid under the covers and plugged my ears. I was probably like 4 or 5 maybe. i was a little older when she let me watch Friday the 13th, pet sementary but i was really little when i saw the others. i only saw like clips of them tho.. lol those few clips scared the F*k out me.

Friday the 13th: nudity problem?
-
I have never been able to cope with horror movies.I'm a total wimp and I found reading Milton's Paradise Lost too distressing to continue, which must be a world record for wimpishness!
-
I love horror movies but find so few to be scary anymore. I saw Silent Hill for the first time last week and that was fairly creepy. I was pleasedas for nuduty in movies, everyone get the fuck over it
-
Scream was probably one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. I stopped watching scary movies. I mainly watched them when I was younger because I was a very rebellious child. Movies that traumatized me as a child was Scream, Chucky, IT!, Nightmare on Elm Street, Jason, Halloween, and Jeepers Creepers. My curiosity always got the best of me.
After seeing Texas Chainsaw Massacre I was SO DONE. Couldn't sleep for a day. I did see when a Stranger Calls... NEVER AGAIN! I don't even answer the house phone anymore. I'm like "if they need me they'll call my cell phone" lol.

What's wrong with a little penis shots from now and than? throw us a bone already!! (Pun intended hehehe ) Eddie, haven't you figured out yet that all the penises (peni?) are in the legit movies? Not the slasher flicks or teen sex romps. Check out 'The Reader'. The appeal for me (besides a very "fleshy" Kate Winslet) is that it's an amazing movie. The appeal for you might very well be a somewhat substantial penis.

Yeah? Well I saw The Thing when I was like 10. shudders that movie, there's a scary one. And with When a stranger calls, i watched that one night, wasn't really to scared, I saw it more as a thriller, but right after the movie was over, my phone rings, id says private call. That was a creepy night... Darkness falls, too, when i was 8. also, not so good for the whole sleeping thing...
-
Well, I guess that rules out me and my mom renting that one! heheh
-
Well than.. thanks for the heads up Damien! hehe.. I wanted to see the movie already, just gives me something extra to look forward too
Also, I finally seen Friday the 13th over the weekend... I didn't think the nudity was all that bad. From this thread I was expecting it to be much worse lol. But all in all... a typical Jason movie.

I find it fascinating how monsters change over time.
For me the only thing that can honestly be called a horror movie is something to do with demons runnin' all through folks. Like Amityville Horror, The Exorcist, The Omen, shit like that. I guess it's just a generational thing.
Shit like Saw while good just didn't do anything for me.
-
You know what's scary? For me... 30 Days of Night! I didn't even see the whole movie. I saw 2 minutes of it... by accident... at the dentist. And I couldn't stop thinking about those horrid 2 minutes for.. at least two weeks. It's a vampire movie. Scared the bejeebies out of me.The only "horror" movie that didn't scare me was Alien v. Predator. I thought it was more cool than scary. Especially because a CHICK was the only survivor and she was so kick butt. I loved it. And she didn't have to be half naked either to show how amazing she was. So rare but so cool. Not to mention she was a sista =p lol

The Omen - is that the one that the boy was the son of satin? Or was it a little girl??? Or even that movie?? Saw, the commercials freaked me out. I couldn’t even watch or listen to those. I don’t know much about. A friend saw it and said it was about people cutting off their limbs to get free ( or try to get free) something like that. I dk.. And I cant really think of the conversation. Fear is a strong emotion and being so scared you’d do things you’d never think possible - you would actually do. I’m saying this cuz when the police were called and all the yelling and screaming was going on I was pushed into a bathroom and locked in. I was yelling and screaming to her, for her, trying to tell her it wasn’t my fault …… I clawed the bathroom door till I was “freed”’ and left holes and scratches in it. I messed up our bathroom door. The wired thing is - I had no finger nails… she kept them cut down so close. So close they were sore a day or so after she cut them. They were sore after that day too… even now I don’t really know how I did it but I was that scared that I did.If I was given a hand saw and one let free… and told if your here tonight I’m going to fuck you. Yea! I’d saw my hand off to get away…I’d dam try as hard as I could.. Anything I could to run. Some of you might laugh or not take me serious but I’m dead serious.

Your right, The Omen was the little boy.Saw I didn't care for. I want my boogie men more aloof and otherworldly. Simple torture flicks I don't care for.
-
The Haunting In Connecticut is more my kid of horror flick. If it's done right and doesn't get corny.

Do I get to grab you if I get scared? ...or if I don't.
