hello. Ive read several posting ..finally got up the guts to send one myself. I have this mole on my shoulder..2 years ago i got a bad sunburn.since that time ive noticed a change in color..it went from medium brown to dark brown. then i noticed what seemd to look like the mole was peeling. at times it itched & i would scratch it..not realizing i may have scratched too hard..i ripped it some. From that time ive accidentily rippped it more while scratching..it now is darker color in the area i tore it. It has bled a tiny bit after tearing it while scratching the area. i also have these small red spots on varies parts of my body..they dont bother me but was wondering what they are. almost rtesembles flat moles but are red in color. if anyone has any idea about injury to a mole or these small red "moles" then Id appreciate hearing from you. I have been all over the web searching for some answrs to somewhat settel my mind until my pending appointment. Its been stressful to say the least. Thank you, Tracy

Scared & waiting to see a doctor

See a doctor about this. My Mother had a dog scratch a mole once, it became inflamed & sore, she had to have it removed & later found it to be skin cancer. Good luck & God Bless

I would see a doctor about any mole that is changing color, shape, itches, bleeds etc... Getting it removed is a very simple procedure and is worth it as a prevention to cancerous changes.
About the red spots. I would thinkk they are probably broken capillaries under the surface of the skin. Have the doctor look at those too.

Have it checked out, but it's not likely that such comparatively recent sun damage would have caused this. The small red spots you mention are most likely 'cherry'moles. They are quite common and of no concern really unless they manifest the kind of changes or characteristics you'll find in the Mole ABCs at this site. They are very common in some families--just about everyone in my family has them--young and old alike-- and, so far, they've never presented a problem. Good Luck!

I agree with everyone else, get it checked out, it may be cancerous, and none of us are doctors so the only real way to know is to see your doctor.
