i'm uh...just now getting uh mustach and i need to shave....wut do i do?
Buy a razor and shaving cream. Apply cream to area to be shaved and lightly drag razor across the area. That is wut you do.
If you buy an electric razor you really dont need much instruction. They are simple and self explanitory. If you are going to shave with a razor i'll just describe step by step to what i do.
- Fill the sink with water
- apply a layer of shaving cream to the areas that need shaving
- moisten the blade in the water with a few daps
- stroke along with the grain on my face
- dip razor back in water to rinse it off (as much as nessecary)
- now stroke againt the grain for that smooth feeling
- rinse blade and/or dispose
- wash face & empty/clean the sink.
Can have anymore detailed instructions than that lol.
I use a normal double bladed razor. None of that three ,or even four bladed crap!My experience using razors is so; I have this wierd part on my neck where I have to shave sideways or I get cut or irritated. My uncle mentioned when I first learned that shaving with the grain ( if its incorrect terminology I'm sorry), generally down, will give you less irritation, but shaving against the grain, generally up, will give you a closer one. Its all about knowing how your hair grows in, and its different for each person. Took me a a year or two to figure out the best way to shave : ). Just don't forget the shaving cream. But hey, if you use an electric that's fine. I find its never as close a shave, and always gives me bad razor burn.
i dont fill the sink with water u just run the faucent and have the water under pressuer just wash it off the sink is a filthy full god knows what.
Electric takes a while to get used to so it doesn't burn, but if you get a good one it's a hell of a lot easier than a razor blade. Also have to make sure and replace the filter thing on top pretty often and the blades about once-twice a year, if the filter gets too thin or the blades too dull it's going to start cutting skin.
just to add onto this topic, i have a couple questionswhat is the difference between shaving cream and gel?and do most people shave against the grain after they have shaved with the grain? is it neccessary etc?and do you have to wash your face with anything other than water, like lotion or aftershave?
gel turns into foam after u rub it together and u can use soap as an alternitive
