Is it not like a hard run hurt? Like when someone runs for a while and they're taking really deep breathes to catch their breath your lungs hurt. This is because they're trying to expand to get accustomed to the amount of air it can take.

I seriously think this is really common, I mean, this happens to nearly everyone I know. Even me! It's just muscle contraction, I think...
-
Its a pain in the ass, is what it is
-
Yah, that's pretty much it...Sooo, we've figured out it's common, but no one knows what causes it or why?
-
increases blood and air circulation will cause your lungs and arteries to expand to compensate. The expansion causes pain.
-
Heh, that's true in very nearly EVERY case.........oh, God, now I've got Anal Sex images in my head, as if I don't get enough of those here already...LOL!
-
And what causes increased blood and air circulation? Breathing heavily?
-
Anything that gets your heart rate up. Be it running, lifting weights, jogging, aerobics, dancing, etc. When your body is moving the muscles need more oxygen. You start to breath in heavily to take in more oxygen and your heart pumps more blood around the body to disperse the oxygen gathered from your lungs. If your lungs can't gather enough oxygen as the muscles need then it starts to expand which in turn creates pain. If you're a smoker then tar can block the lungs from gathering oxygen and so it's harder for them to catch their breath.
