Most southern and western states accept the ACT. It's not widely accepted in the Northeast though. The SAT is pretty much standard here.

College for High School Senior Year

Yea it seems most colleges accept the ACT. The only thing with that is I dont really know much about it. All i hear from guidance counselors and teachers is SAT,SAT, SAT, and the occasional SATII. They don't seem to like promoting the other one or informing us on anything about it.
-
The ACT is more broad and a whole lot easier in my opinion. It includes science and social studies, instead of just math and english.
-
lol. I plan on using the credits I got at this community college and transferring them over to a technical school about 45 minutes away from where I live. I'm only going for an associates degree.
Oh, do you know your major and what college you plan on going to after high school? It's good to check out the course catalog for you major at that school and see what will transfer. -
I think i'm going to major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Physcology. My mind keeps changing though, but if i dont have anything set I will just do that. I really want to go to a school up in Boston. But its very expensive and very far from home, which is good to me but not to the rents.
-
Some people find the ACT more challenging than the SAT, and vice versa. I guess it depends on the person. As for myself, I've taken the ASVAB, SAT, and COMPASS. But I want to take the ACT for the heck of it.
-
Isn't the Asvab they give to high school sophmores to help you determine what sort of fields you are best suited for or is that something else. If it is i've taken it, but i dont have any clue of my score.
-
Hmmm, it may be best to stay in state when considered financially. Hell, if I could go to any school for my major, it would be Australia.
-
ASVAB has to do with what kind of personality you have, etc. I can't think of what it stands for right now.www.asvabprogram.com

Yup thats the test I took. Finacially it would make sense for me to stay in state, but I think my heart is telling me to leave.
-
heheh. As long as your parents pay for it, right? I'm going to a closer college because I'm cheap when it comes to spending money on myself plus there's a certain someone I can't leave right now.
