I'm a pretty active individual and am starting to pay the price. I life weights religiously, as well as train a variety of martial arts regularly. Total workout time per week is anywhere from 10-12 hours. I'm a lean 6'3", 190lbs and have always been into sports, etc. I'm beginning to have some real trouble with joint pain in my shoulders and knees which is very likely the result of too much training. My question is, does a solution exist that will allow me to keep training while helping my body heal? I'm thinking about starting a glucosamine - chondroitin regimine, but have heard mixed results from locals who've tried it.
It's nearly impossible for me to sit idle, as I'm so used to always training that it is psychologically difficult to stop. I stretch regularly and try to use proper form on all exercises as often as possible. I really do not want to have to stop working out for an extended period of time and would like to know if there are any treatments that have worked for users here. ANy help would be appreciated.
