As Ann Coulture said in 'How to talk to a liberal': " In the famous liberal two step , they leap from one idiotic point to the next so you can never nail them. It's like argring with someone with ADD."You're showing your roots bud!

Better Late Than Never
-
i was pretty sure that we established that some did want the type of gov america has set up, and others didnt...i was making the point that america should let iraq do its own thing...and america should focus on itself..and im pretty sure i do have ADD...not diagnosed but i really cant pay attention to much anything
-
It's own thing? If we let them do there own thing right now it would be more corrupt than before. And it would be a breeding groud for terrorism and it would add to an already large amount of Middle East tension. As for our own problems in the US, Drug control over the border is all the Gov't can do!
-
breeding ground for terrorism...lol...what a joke...iraq had NOTHING to do with osama...many people don't get that...and as for the tension...before the war in iraq...many middle east countries liked america...now almost all of them greatly dislike us/hate usour own problems include more than drugs and illegal immigration...have you not heard the unemployment rate?...its extremely high, the poverty of america?...especially in washington DC...there are so many problems with america that are overlooked by people...
-
First of all unemployment is lower than is was at the end of Clintons first term. I wasn't mentioning Osama, I was mentioning that the instibility in Iraq would result in the breeding of terrorism. And no Middle Eastern country has ever really liked the west!!!! As for poverty that can be solved if people were ambitious and try to get some form of a trade skills education.
-
uh huh...the instability of iraq would result in terrorism...do explain that, you mean tyranical gangs would attempt to take control of the country?...thats terrorism in a way yes...but would it affect america in any way...probably not... sudam was a tyrant...and technically a terrorist by definition...and he really never did anything to america directly did he?...and ill rephrase that the middle east "liked us" to "they put up with us..."as for your answer to the poverty...you feel it should be up to select individuals...and not the government?...interesting...
-
That is right I am a believer in Darwinism(Survival of the Fittest)! People should have to earn there way in life not have it given to them. But, as I said Education is the key to diminising poverty.
-
education...thats another thing...public education is whack...is there a better way to put it...these days thats the only word i can use to describe it...
-
Accually, you can get a good education in public schools.
-
some...but as a majority they dont even come close to the things they should be teaching...and bush isnt helping that problem as much as he's hurting it...thats another story tho...
-
I don't mean to butt in, but I have an education and had a hard time finding a job. My boyfriend also has an education and went to school for his trade and still got laid off. He got laid off because the owner of his company just wasn't getting enough business to keep it afloat. I also live in Cleveland. According to what I read in our newspaper we are THE poorest big city with the most job losses. That's including our police force and fire department who got hit with severe lay offs last year. I don't really know what to think about the war. I support our troops and remain loyal to my country. I just wish the president would focus a little more effort on employment. Because right now we're living paycheck to paycheck.
-
Who cares if she lost her job at a news paper, whip ti doo! How can people read the shit that's dished out, because it's not fictional like all of the crap from the left! As for the middle east foreign policy crap, it seems like you're leaving out the other 1/2 of the story. BTW don't be bitter that Conseritives have taken over! Just shows how people feel about liberals!
-
I wasn't aware Bush went to Canada. That's good. I like yee canadians.
-
Lately, the only news I'm interested in is the daily show with John Stewart and I haven't even been watching that much.
-
He's the king of the blank stare.

For one don't care for affirmatiove action! I think everyone should earn their own way in life and not get help because you fall into a certain class or group. As for where our foreign aid money goes, it has always been giving to Israel, in large amounts. $250 a second infact. Icould really careless about that though! As for the majority, it's real and won't change for a long time! Over the next years the Democratic Party is coing to dwindle down until they vere away from Michael Moore politics. And for morailty, it's always been instilled inconservitive politics, it just became an issue this time around. As for me becoming and moderate, it's extreme liberals that push me to the other side! And I never lived on my own. I went on a trip around the world with my boxing coach. And trust me, we have it so much better here than you'd ever think.
-
bush is the one who's anti-american. america is about freedom. (not jesus)
-
I agree with you on affirmative action. People should be hired because of there qualification, not race or gender ect. And yes I realize that companies look for diversity. My Dad has 350 employs and 1/2 of them aren't caucasian. As for criticizing the president, I don't like it, but I understand that it is your right as an American! For youtr reference I am not blaming liberal for anything! I am just saying they turn me away from being a moderate!
-
Yes. they're 2 different philosophies, but liberalism pushes meuther to the other end. I have nothing against liberals, except I don't believe what they believe in. They are very nice people though!
-
Although I'm not 18 (16), I'd consider myself to be somewhere inbetween liberal and conservative by Canadian standards. I know in the US that would make me liberal. I like to look at issues from both sides, and I have a hard time making decisions about many issues, partially because I don't want to let myself be overly influenced by what any single person or group says, and partially because I don't know what to believe.
Growing up in the most left wing city in the province (Edmonton), in the most right wing province in Canada (Alberta), and having two parents on different ends of the political spectrum (in many but not all cases) - I think that I have a much broader view of politics than alot of people I know. Going extreme to one side isn't good when you begin to ignore the negatives of that side and the positives of the other, and voting one way despite who it is you're voting for (more of a Canadian issue I think).
