Hello, Iwas wondering if anyone out ther is an adult with ADD? I've always assumed that ADD was a disorder associated with childhood hyperactivity. I believe that I have ADD and went over-looked as a child with in-attentive disorder. Do anyone of you have advice concernng how and why you were diagnosed? Should I go to a phycoligist? Or a Psyciactrist? Any info would be appreciated.

I am a 24 yo adult with ADD... I almost slipped through the cracks and didn't get diagnosed until midway through high school due to the fact that I didn't have hyperactivity.GET IT CHECKED OUTif you think you have it, you probably do...You can usually go to a psychiatrist or neurologist to get diagnosed. Call and ask, some docs don't treat adults with ADD which is bullshit it doesn't magically go away once you reach adulthood. any doc who is experienced in treating ADD will tell you that add is a lifetime disorder.
