I don't know what time period you're talking about, but a 132-lb person who needs 6 to 7 drinks to get buzzed is a good candidate for alcoholism. The same goes for 8 beers. That is definitely binge drinking.

Noob to booze.

Wow..just looking for a problem...Young adults learning their limits do tend to binge drink..they can't get their hands on it most of the time so when they do...wham! Is it a great way to learn how/what you can drink? No. Is it risky and possibly dangerous? Yep. Is it going to be a problem for most? No.

Is it going to be a problem for most? No.I've been involved with a number of alcoholics, and I've seen them evolve, and I can tell you that some people never get past the binge drinking. It's a peculiarity of the U.S., compared to most of Europe (continental Western Europe, anyway). In other countries, kids drink alcohol long before they are 21, and they don't tend to treat it as a drug to be abused as much as they do it here. I've spent some time in France, and I only ever recall seeing two drunk people (an older guy in a restaurant, and a young guy at a house party). The frat boy let's-get-shitfaced thing does not exist there. The results of binge drinking from college that I best recall are people throwing up, fights, property damage, and girls having sex and not knowing what or why the next day.A lot of things are not a great idea, but people will do them anyway. Binge drinking is just one of them.

if you are referring to me as 8 beers as a high number, i am not sure what to tell you, but i rarely drink, if anything i have one beer, and the last time i had a beer was a few days ago and before that it was 2 weeks, and over a month before that.
