Ok, i just sort of found this out. I was in the shower and lathering my body when i got to my breasts. Seems like part of both of my breasts are harder then the rest and its very odd to me, i've never noticed this before. The hardness is on the upper part of my breasts but they arent small, they are actually kind of large. Could this be cancer? My mom had recently told me it runs in my family.. and im worried.

The chances of getting breast cancer in both breasts at the same time are slim. The first people know about cancer in their breasts is if they are lucky enough to feel a small lump, under the skin, that generally doesn't move around. You can get little Cysts in your breasts that feel simular, and sometimes these even move. The fact that you have 'hard' places on both your breasts would seem to suggest that it would not be cancer, however, it is always a good idea to go to the doctors and get them to check you out, especially if there is breast cancer in the family. I am in the same position as you, my mum had breast cancer, pretty young, which increases the likelyhood of it being genetic (apparently) and I have large breasts.........don't just worry about it, go and see a doctor and they will put your mind at rest, hope everything goes ok hugs

Like angel said, its unlikely for both breast's at the same time, but go to the doctors right away

i've noticed that too on my boobs before and i thought it was cancer as well...but i think its actually just breast tissue, could mean growth, could maybe even be like swelling from periods or something. idk if i find a hard place it normaly goes away but you can get it checked out if you're really worried

Fibrocystic breast disease will make both breast feel kind of bumpy. It tends to go away over time, or (some claim) if caffeine intake is reduced.
