I was wondering, if a guy got a vasectomy, would testosterone still be going into his system? Wouldn't cutting and tying up that tube stop it from going back into his system?

Vasectomy and Testosterone
-
no it only stops the transferrence of sperm..........my partner has had the snip and he hasn't lost any of his 'manlyness' grin
-
If that were the case, then the vasectomy wouln't exists. In a vasectomy, the sperm-carrying tube (the vas defenens, hence the name) is clipped on both sides. Testosterone, however, is dumped into the blood stream, not the sperm tubes.

In one post you said that you had condoms fail. What happened if they were used correctly?
-
I didn't say they failed, i said i got pregnant when i had come off birthcontrol and we were using condoms. As the saying goes shit happens..........

Why was the reason that your honey got the vasectomy instead you having your tubes tied?
-
Its not fair to angel to have to have another surgery for something like this after she's already had 3 children through c-section and had to go throught he pain of carrying each child for 9 months. She also had to take BC pills all this time and everyone knows the side effects they have on women. Since her husband is probably really loving and caring it was only right that he chose to "suffer" a little in return.

In reply to:Why was the reason that your honey got the vasectomy instead you having your tubes tied? It was JUST as abc said actually (hugs abc), .........the docs were a bit reluctant to do the op as he was only 28 when he had it done, but he was sure it was what he wanted to do.

He sounds like a really great guy. Too bad not all women get to have a guy that would sacrifice somthing like that. Any guy that truly loves his woman would make that choice, hell i would. Women go through way too much in life.

I've had it done and love it. Mentally it enhanced sex so much! Since you never have to worry about getting your partner preganant when another form of birth control fails, it is a great choice. I don't know why more guys do not choose this.
-
I've had it done also and I'm not so happy with it. Don't rush into it if you're thinking about having it done.
-
why are you not happy with it, if you don't mind me asking?
-
Since I had mine done roughly 75% of my orgasms include some (from mild to extreme) amount of pain in the scrotum (where the tubes were cut). I have been assured time and again that the procedure was done correctly, the tubes are sealed correctly, that I healed correctly, and that there is absolutely no reason why I would experience any pain during orgasm. I've had other possible causes checked (hernia, cancer, etc.) with them all coming up clean.

**wow, i am so sorry to hear that, it terrible :frowning: **
-
Yeah...it pretty much sucks but life goes on. I can only wish I was more of a masochist, then it might be fun.
-
There is no way I will ever get a vasectomy. I don't care if I have to use condoms the rest of my life, and risk a random unplanned child. Vasectomies just don't seem normal or healthy, and it takes away a major part of what makes me a man. Just my opinion though.
-
I second that opinion.
