I'm a sexually active teenager. I recently suspected I was pregnant but it was too early to tell. Now the signs that I felt are gone. I had a clumpy brown discharge and even a little blood. I had severe cramps. I'm worried that I had a miscarriage. What do you think? Since I never knew for sure if I was pregnant I'm not sure if I had a miscarriage. Is there anyone w/ an opinion. I need help.

Miscarriage

go to your family doctor or a sexual health clinic, and put all your worries to rest, there is no way to find out if you don't either get a preg test, or go to your doctor.
-
You should go to your nearest teen clinic or drugstore and purchas pregnacy tests. If you intend to have regular sex you should also buy a form of contraception and make sure to use it properly and store it in a suitable enviroment.
-
In all truth it sounds like you got your period. Take a pregnancy test, find out for sure. Wait another day to see what happens, and if nothing changes, see a doctor - better be safe than sorry.
-
Correct me if im wrong but a "clumpy brown discharge"(heh, thats fun to say) doesn't seem like a normal occurance.
-
Well blood isn't the only ingredient in period fluids. Most girls (esp towards the end of their period) will have what i like to call 'leftovers' - brown, slightly thick discharge.
-
During a girls period, they can have a brownish clumpy discharge (the uterine lining breaking down and being discharged). What you described does fit the description I have heard other girls discuss when they had a miscarriage, but at the same time, it also fits the description of some girls' periods.Had you stopped your period, or had any delays? As mentioned above, it's best to talk to a medical professional about it.

Okie dokie, my bad. I didn't pay enough attention in sex ed I spose I was too interested in the diagrams
-
Are those the kind of leftovers you can heat up in the microwave and have for lunch the next day?Chows down
-
Yes, if you don't keep kosher or halal. If you eat hot dogs, you probably already are eating it.
-
Steve, Im trying to eat.
-
Kosher hot dogs should be safe. The people who make them have to answer to a higher authority than the FDA.
-
Ill bet that hebrew national gets all the left over cows to slauter. (Isnt that kind of gruesome if you think about? Here god, we're going to bless this moo that we hacked up"
-
anne, what were the signs you felt before the blood??
-
I had really severe cramping. it was worse than any period cramp i had ever felt before. so since i thought i was pregnant, i got really worried.
-
ive never had discharge during my period other than blood. and ive never had a late period w/ the exception of my last one. i was a week late and it only lasted two days. thats when i wondered if it wasnt a period but some other bleeding. that was about three and a half weeks ago. i dont want to go to my family physician because i really dont want my father to find out. at the same time, will it be enough to go to planned parenthood?
-
You can just give an excuse to your dad to take you, but i know for a fact docotrs cant tell your parents something about patient rights. He cannot tell your parents that you think you may have had a mischarage
-
well i know i can go w/out telling my dad. and i can pay the $20 copay thing. but wont it show up on some bill or other the tests that i was given? plus the amount were charged for those tests?
-
Hmm thats true. I would call and see if it could be hidden or something, or go to another doctor if possible. Or, just pick up a $7 EPT at a grocery store may work, but im not 100% Certain
