First off, how are heroin and marijuana alike? There isn't any "worst" drug, drugs are inanimate objects that have no power until a user comes along. Constant use of anything turns into abuse. Drinking every other weekend isn't too bad, as long as you know when to stop and you aren't doing it to avoid anything. If you drink all the time then the damage to your body starts. As far as "worst" drugs go I guess heroin would be at the top of the list. I can't speak from any experience but H is just bad shit, that's why they call it "junk".

Alcohol or Heroin/Marijuana
-
Crystal meth is much worse for a person, on the average, than heroin is.
-
Yay, Steve lets hear it for the ice....lol
-
I've watched people smoke meth. I almost beat the hell out of them too. Kept trying to get me to smoke a little. Fuck that shit. Coke was enough. I will stick to my pot.
-
You're a pot sticker.
-
Pot stickers are good

I have no desire to try Heroin. I was just curious about the severity of it's damaging effects. I am not advocating the use of it, however I do know that it's not nearly as bad as others out there. True on the meth. I have seen it bring some good people down in less than a year.
-
however I do know that it's not nearly as bad as others out thereTo a large extent, it depends how pure it is. The stuff you're likely to get on the street is contaminated with things that will likely harm your body.
-
I just have seen meth, bring down people really fast, with my own eyes. I don't need research or statistics, when it happens to someone you know.

Heroin destroys livesAlhcohol CAN destroy peoples lives but it depends on the personMarijuana imo is the safest drug you cant overdose on it its not physicly addictiveI might be a little biast on the marijuana part though since im a user of it
-
In reply to:Heroin destroys livesAlhcohol CAN destroy peoples lives but it depends on the personThey both have equal potential to destroy lives (in fact, alcohol might even be worse), from what I've observed.
-
Alcohol worse than heroin? Heroin tends to cause greater devastation to a person's life than alcohol, except so many more people use alcohol so there's a lot more cases of alcoholism. Heroin is also easier to get addicted to than alcohol. Don't know about how hard it is to break compared to alcoholism though - it's incredibly hard in both cases.

Heroin tends to cause greater devastation to a person's life than alcohol, except so many more people use alcohol so there's a lot more cases of alcoholism.Alcohol is much more destructive to the body than the pure, unadulterated extract of opium. They are both very addictive. Now, I'm not endorsing taking opiates recreationally, but there are people who are able to function productively for decades while hooked on opiates, including heroin, if they can get it relatively pure and in known doses. There's no way you can survive decades of alcoholism without doing grave damage to your body. Of course, the easy availability of alcohol is a problem for people who have a tendency to abuse it.Of course, there are many people who get hooked on opiates like heroin, and who become obsessed with / addicted to it, and whose lives fall apart.

They're all bad, don't start.I smoke everyday, and I have black lung.My friend; Heroin addict. Very talented person, but goes no where in lifeAlcoholics have a more difficult time disguising their addiction, therefore are less likely to be "functional addicts"Heroin=3 days of hell to quit, no easy way (the 'methodone' is not much help) Marijuana and alcohol are psycologically and physically addictive, but ETOH much more than cannabis sativa. For those who say pot is NOT physically addictive, try smoking it for 20 years then quit, you will be enlightened.

great post...........
-
Pot isn't physically additive. It can be psycologically addicting, but not physical. But, anything that gives your a brain a 'shot of happy' can become addicting. Caffeine (Lets see how many memebers are addicts...) chocolate... Hell.. Even going on the internet all day (Some people on here) Herion and alcohol... I'd rather it not exist.
-
You still have many years of toking up my friend, like i said, give it 20 years...heck, give it 10 and you will see that, after quitting, you WILL have physical withdrawls, in the form of dry, red eyes, cottonmouth, weird dreams which seem very real. But dont take my word for it! Any one else agree?
-
Can you cite any objective data on this? Personal experience goes just so far.
-
Personal experience is the best form of objectionable data, everything else is out of someone's log of observations.
-
That means that science is one big crock of nonsense. People make observations, from which they tend to exptrapolate data that confirms their preconceptions. It has some value, but you need to be very careful when you generalize. A lot of people come to incorrect conclusions every day.
