I need your support! lol. It's my boyfriend's birthday next week and so he's having a party on the weekend (as it's his 18th). Trouble is, I've met a minimal amount of his friends (due to their very odd attitude towards his having a girlfirend and spending time with me), and obviously I haven't met his extended family yet.So, all in all, I am rather nervous about this party. He's already said that he'll probably be talking to people and whatnot - and with it being his party I can understand that. He has, however, invited a few of my friends so tha tI'll have someone to talk to - but I don't really want to sit in the corner with my mates all night! And now I've reaslied that I have NO idea what to wear. It's at a pub, so I don't want to go too dressed up. But.....ARGH.I don't know why I'm posting this message, to be honest. I just need support! I'm new to all this...people liking me thing. I don't want to spoil it! Oh dear.

Hey, this is your opportunity to show his friends what a nice person you are, and how, even if it's sad for them that they can't see your boyfriend as much because he's spending time with you, he can hardly be blamed for it.You don't wear a sequinned ballgown (unless it's a very upmarket pub indeed, and there is dancing), but do dress up.Shine!

Be nice to everyone and you'll be ok.

Damn it.takes dress backThank you both. I have calmed down a bit now. I am really nervous - but I suppose I have to face them at some point. I'll be fine.Yes.

Haha. It was....an interesting night.
I spoke to his friends a little bit, mainly whilst mocking my BF who was a *little* drunk.
He got my name wrong quite a lot, which I'm trying not to over react too, but I'm a thinker - I can't help it.
