i am going crazy. my school ends june 4th and i have my finals this wednesday and friday, and i haven't started studying. but unlike all my friends who just haven't done it i haven't had any time to do it. for the last two weeks every single class has assigned a paper, a project, a test, or in terms of spanish an oral exam, and in some classes i had a paper and a project. i have been working so hard and the ones i finished i got A's on, which means my hard work really shows. However, the time i spend on all of that has taken away from my other projects and papers and studying for my exams. On top of all of this I had 4 dance performances this weekend which I knew a head of time but they took up the entire weekend. i tried to study for finals last weekend but my teachers refused to give me the info i need to know until monday so that screwed me over major. so right now i'm sitting here doing more work, with one more dance performance left, a paper that has 10 short essays in it which i'm not even half done, a histoty paper and to study for finals. i am freaking out and don't know how i can possible get everything done. i am usually so good at prioritizing i don't know how i got so screwed. i am so stressed and don't know what to do. please someone help me! i have to finish the school year!

Overwhelmed with work

sounds like me a week or two ago, it's a part of life, everybody faces those situations in school, just do your best

That's bad organisation on the school's part. It won't help you this year, but it might help future years, if you sent a letter to the principal (and other appropriate persons or bodies) pointing out what was happening and suggesting the school coordinate assignments to prevent it happening again, for example by a general assessment timetable for each grade.

that's not going to do anything, it's part of life, something you have to get use to, just wait until college

Over here, just before exams, we dont get anything like the amount of work you seem to get.We get coursework which is done over the year or two years of a course, but at the end of the year before our 'finals' as such, we aren't given much at all in the way of assignments or homework.....in fact they send us home until our exams - so we don't even have lessons.Does sound like something is wrong with the system over there...

You'll be alright. I've felt the same way at the end of every school year. After 4yrs undergrad, 2 years in a masters program, and 1 year in law school, I still invariably feel overwhelmed at the end of every single year (this year was a killer!). I don't think I ever really felt like that in HS, but it looks like you've got it pretty rough. As Amanda said, c'est la vie... You'll make it through, and you'll be all the happier when you're done and free edit: on that last note, I personally plan on drinking myself into a haze now that it's all done, but I don't suggest that for the high-schoolers
