Male Yeast Infection
-
Buy the female yeast infection creme like Monistat. Apply daily for a week and you'll be fine.
-
Since yeasts are fungi, any antifungal cream will also work, such as anything for ringworm or athlete's foot.

Oh good old equal treatment obsessed world!I wonder when guys are going to protest and preach about it :P

thanks guys! Iv'e had this for a couple months now, and it's driving me crazy.

another question for this, are yeast infections contagious to other portions of the body? I know they can occur in various other spots, but can i like contract it somewhere else, after touching the infected area?
-
They can be transferred, but they are most likely to take hold in a warm moist area. They like crevices, too.

Ok, so i posted in another section about a weird rash on my upper lip, do you think it's possible that when I was sleeping or something i may have scratched down there and transferred it?
Also i think a major reason im having a problem with this is because of the antibiotics im taking, iv'e stopped taking them as of yesterday.

Antibiotics screw with EVERY germ, good and bad. It could cause it, but as far as it being outside of your mouth, that is pretty uncommon. Try taking some probiotics to get your tummy back in order, it will help with your immune system as far as the yeast goes. Also, it sounds a bit harsh cause it CAN burn, but a cup or 2 of vinegar in a bath can help. (Usually it is best when it first starts because you haven't scratched to make it burn) I used to have to do that with my daughter when she was little, because she would get yeast in all her fat rolls, and under her arms. It helped within a day...Also, keeping things dry. (rolls eyes at how difficult that was) REALLY helps. I used corn starch, or a cornstarch based baby powder on her when we didn't have a lot of chances for "airing her out".

Because antibiotics kill all bacteria, including good ones, but not yeasts, they can leave you susceptible to yeasts that take over areas that were formerly colonised by good bacteria.
However, if you were taking antibiotics for a good reason, you should continue with them until the course is finished. This is to make sure you kill all the bad bacteria. If you stop too early, they can come back, and they are then more likely to have developed resistance to the antibiotic.
